its a hold the city mission and i need to hold 4 cities. this mission is really hard, i get so close to occupying the last city in the corner of the map but just before im able to get it, one of my cities is lost because the enemy just outnumbers me. i can;t go back and get that city because all my generals are nearly dead so idk what to do.

The city right of your capital is in ok shape. All Generals to the north, then right and finish them off. Only go for non-objective cities if you can win and hold them easily. You're pretty far in campaigns, so if it's too hard consider if you can do challenge campaigns, Conquest or history to strengthen your generals. Your top tier should be king/prince and General level. |

that city right of my capital is the one i lose to my enemy, even if i try to capture the other objective cities fast. i tried 2 different routes and it didn't work. my gens are pretty much maxed and my tech is maxed

As stated before: just go top and then right. Send one unit to the very top right corner and go south. your 3 arty gens destroy the last city and now you are able to steal the last city with the earlier mentioned corner-unit. Most german units will head to the west and ignore your sneaky unit. It took 17 turns or so.
