Stepanovic: 97 Battle Ability (+24% atk), 52 Cavalry Ability (+13% atk), +38% def at lv3 Prince Johnston: 93 Battle Ability (+23% atk), 55 Cavalry Ability (+13% atk), +42% def at lv3 King. That +1% attack better be worth giving up +4% def for you. Since it's not for me. stepanovic: (97*1.24 = 120.28) + (52*1.13 = 58.76) = 179.04 johnston: 114.39 + 62.15 = 176.54 the difference is 2.5 in attack. so compare 2.5 attack and 4% defence. i still think stephanovic is better because if he has a higher chance of clearing an enemy, he won't get hit back so he won't receive any damage. Your math is wrong: Stepanovic: 1+(97/400)+(52/400)=137% Johnston: 1+(93/400)+(55/400)=136%

Each 4 points in ability gives 1% attack-dmg. So 97/400 = 0,2425 = 24% atk-dmg

In other words:
Stepanovic: 97 general ability = 97/400*100 = 24 % atk-dmg 52 cav ability = 13 % atk-dmg (always cut of decimal point) __________
= +37 % atk-dmg
-> You will end up with 137 dmg if you put him on a 100 base-dmg unit (without cav commander or any other bonus skills).
With Browning Pistol: 107/400*100 = 26 % atk-dmg 82/400*100 = 20 % atk-dmg _________ = +46 % atk-dmg
-> Same example as above, you will end up 146 dmg
Sidney Johnston: 93 general ability = +23% atk-dmg) 55 Cavalry Ability = +13% ________ = +36 % atk-dmg
With Browning Pistol:
103/400*100 = 25 % atk-dmg
85/400*100 = 21 % atk-dmg
_________
= +46 % atk-dmg
Both will end up with same dmg as I wrote before.

Also Stepanovic can be used in History mode and he’s very valuable in history mode because he’s cavalry. Johnston cannot. But other than that Johnston is better yeah.

The easy ones like the prussian ones are also easy to grind for textbooks and medkits and stuff. The medal and general slot economy is also really lenient in this game. Plenty of us used to have like 2k or more medals saved and nothing to spend it on.

I'm not. I was planning to get him but I guess I don't need him. Right now my main gens are, Jackson, Plummer, Moltke, Ivanov, Beseler, Macmahon, and Vazov i can send you a list of my general lineup with all their skills and equipment if you want. i've completed all the campaign challenges from 1 to 6 and i plan to do the remainder. nah it's fine
