 I'm actually quite enjoying using Brusilov right now. Of course there are better gens for miles, but he's especially fun for me to use. What about everyone else?  |

What about everyone else? whats so fun about him? he is just a general in a strategy game, just like all the other generals. he is not a good cav, the best to get for efficiency are plummer, jackson, stepanovic and molke (free), also i wouldn't recommend the book item. better to just use healing items. you can buy 2 ambulances and 3 tents from the store. you can also get 2 extra tents (1 from 1861 conquest achievements and another from campaign challenge 6) |

Some people just like certain generals for historical reasons. That’s fine as long as they don’t try to argue that they’re optimal. And Brusilov is not an optimal buy early on, but he’s not useless. You switch out one skill and you have Precision strike, Jungle, Edge and Alert. That’s not bad in absolute terms at all, that is really solid for an armored car general. And he can also be used in history mode and he’s quite valuable in history mode since he’s cavalry that resists navy damage (important for his mission). The problem is that you get tons of good cavalry generals for free and no good artillery general. And by the point you should be buying another cavalry the price is less relatively important. So don’t bother with him until you do history mode. |

its not efficient to buy non-optimal generals early on because they are cheaper, you will eventually have to replace them with the best generals so you would just be wasting gold and medals anyway.

It’s not about picking the best general. Some people just like to use certain general due to historical reason or personal preference. Maybe that general is a players idol. It’s not always about picking the best general as long as you’re having fun. |

All of these are true, but sometimes its best to leave such desires to the endgame. Once I complete my game, Im planning to axe most of my HQ, and try to buy all the German generals (ofc no Scheer and Ludendorff since im F2P). Patience will get me there!

Not desirable to use as part of your main roster, but definitely great for History Mode since one skill change and he’s already a solid 4/5 general.
