Hello everyone:)
I saw that "written guides" was on the wish list of the WC4 poll that Harry Lillis "Bing" Crosby Jr started. So I played through them again with my current generals (which didn't see much improvement during the last six months). Hopefully, these guides provide enough value for people still struggling with the end game.
I also found screenshots of my final line up of my very first playthrough dating back to 10/2019. At that time I watched the videos created by andrei and tried to emulate his strategies with my weaker non-IAP team.
So, the guides to come might provide a condensed step-by-step version of andrei's videos and maybe they give a good reference in terms of minimum generals/skill/medals required to comfortably beat the last chapter of World Conqueror 4.
There it is, the team of twins as stoic would put it:) The 3 tank generals and Konev will be in every mission while Leeb, Dowding and Donitz are deployed more situationally. The key skill is rumor and for "ranged" combat fully upgraded nukes, missiles and economy support (Dowding and the add-ons for your cities unlocked through challenges). Speaking of upgrades, I had everything of relevance at maximum (except fortifications and anti-air)
Here are the generals from the first playthrough:
So it's basically the same bunch of guys but Konev is a lot weaker and Guderian has 30% less health. Also, Rokossovski has only 5 tank stars and Dowding provides less economic support.
However, during that time I was at the peak of my WC4 skills and sometimes used medal swapping (especially between the tank gens) and reloads to get a good start into the missions.
Which ever team is the better example for a "minimum requirement" I'll be refering to this threat in all the guides for generals, skills, ranks and so on. Maybe I'll also discuss some reoccurring tactics should the necessity arise.
