He's five-foot-two and he's six-feet-four He fights with missiles and with spears He's all of thirty-one and he's only seventeen He's been a soldier for a thousand years
He's a catholic, a Hindu, an Atheist, a Jane A Buddhist and a Baptist and Jew And he knows he shouldn't kill, and he knows he always will killing you for me and me for you, my friend
And he's fighting for Canada, he's fighting for France He's fighting for the USA And he's fighting for the Russians and he's fighting for Japan And he thinks we'll put an end to war this way
And he's fighting for democracy, he's fighting for the reds He says it's for the peace of all He's the one who must decide who's to live and who's to die And he never sees the writing on the wall
But without him how would Hitler have condemned him at Dachau Without him Caesar would've stood alone He's the one who gives his body as the weapon of the war And without him, all this killing can't go on
He's the universal soldier and he really is to blame His orders come from far away no more They come from him and you and me And brothers, can't you see This is not the way we put an end to war
Writer: Buffy Sainte-Marie

Thank you John Marston , Reflecteding as a boy, this old song by Donnavan, made me a radical pacifist. Β» He is the one who must decide: who's to live amd who's to die - and without him all this killing can't go on.Β« Not our intention matters. Our actions matter. And regardless the religions or not - we always know, war is wrong. Thank you John Marston, for picking up this song again. This is a song decisive for my life: I will never give my body as a weapon to the war. -mwaho-

[ ... ]This is a song decisive for my life: I will never give my body as a weapon to the war. -mwaho- Haha. Ironically or fortunately, it has been posted on the forum where strategies for war (games) are discussed I think this song fits really good here in our context. Especially as we are a global community. In the history context, pratical everyone here in the board, would have been in some ages my enemy. And all the uncountable pain that happened was useless for us here, counterproductive for human development. It's a strategic decision to be pacifist in life. Its our personal responsibility for the world we live in. These words are so strong - and they still work - thanks for listening

War is only a tool for hatemongers to spread hatred and use it for their personal gain. Though he may or may not suffer from it, the people of his country will surely suffer from it. Example see - France and Germany - in the 20th century, they fought two world wars against each other, and became allies against a larger threat - USSR.
It shows that - "Love comes more naturally to humans than hatred" - Nelson Mandela

War is indisputably terrible. However, I do not think it is morally wrong for one to fight in a war.

War is indisputably terrible. However, I do not think it is morally wrong for one to fight in a war. It is morally wrong to make war. Just read your words again and you see how we are manipulated: Soldiers don't fight 'In a War' - Soilders make the war - nobody else. The way to declare a just cause, is a try to find an exeption to your normal moral.

Nice example Shrimant Peshwa Madhavrao Bhat, For almost 40 years germany had two armies. The primary education for their soilders was preparation to fight the other german army. They were all told they will fight for a just cause. Luckylie they don't had to, and it is prooved by history that it would be so wrong if they did.
