My current plan for final HQ generals: - Guderian (+rumor and machinist): best tank general - Graziani (+rumor and armored assault): 3rd if not 2nd best tank - Rommel (+rumor and blitzkrieg): 3rd or 2nd best tank
- Rokossovsky (+rumor and armored assault): 4th or 5th tank - Montgomery (+rumor and armored assault): 4th or 5th tank + air support - Leeb (+accuracy): main damage dealer artillery - Konev (+rumor and crowd tactics): main support general and artillery
- Doenitz (+rumor and sailor): cruiser/submarine general - Nimitz (+rumor and wolfpack): submarine/cruiser general - Arnold (+economic expert): ground airforce and economic booster - Yamamoto (+rumor and crowd tactics): airfoce, artilerry and general ground support, or fort-cracker cruiser
- Rundstedt (+rumor and raider): fort cracking infantry, support combat infantry, and air support
Give Rommel PL instead of blitzkreig, give Runstedt Air Leader instead of raider, and Get MacArthur with rumor and PF with medal instead of Donitz, if you already ave Nimitz and Yamamoto. |

Maybe Rumor and Machinist, just not Rumor and Blitzkreig. - Air Leader for Runstedt? seriously? get Dowding instead - McArthur is a waste if you already had Rundstedt and you didn't need 2nd inf. general - 6 tank stars + AA would be wasted if you made Rommell as support, put rumor with PL or Blitz or any offensive skill on him as a 2nd damage dealer behind Guderian. For support, give the role to Graziani, Timo, or Arnold. |

For support, give the role to Graziani, Timo, or Arnold. I use Rundstedt as my main Air support, and also use him to stop any breaches in my front. For Rommel, you cannot get better support with AA, Crossfire, Rumor, and CT. MacArthur I use as my Hybrid and city defense main man. I use him for swarms of units (Korean War), so the rest of my units can advance. |

He has crossfire which only activates when he gets attacked, a swarm of allied units makes him receive less hits, thus less counterattacks. Secondly support generals must be able to attack without getting counter attacked (artilleries), otherwise he'll die fast. Also Rommel is a great solo general who can handle a hard battlefront all by his own. So, panz leader gives him more capability to deal more damage and it stacks with armored assault and crossfire (+medal). It makes him do insane damages especially when counter attacking.
For crwod tactics, I found the perfect general for it: Konev, the best general you can equip with crowd tactics (+medal), and crowd tactics is also the best skill you can give to him (much better than plain, explosives, or machinist). It also adds up with the historical fact that the Soviets often rely on their great number.

not a fan of crowd tactics since i rarely put my gen side by side. poor Konev (with his thin hp) when he sits beside hydrobombed Guderian..

He has become my 2nd most important general, 2nd to Guderian only. Crowd tactics + medal gives 30 damage buff to units around him. If I have 4 units around, it means + 120 damage, a staggering ammount of damage buff. He also doesn't often get bombarded, in overwhelming cases he survives with more than 75% or even full HP while the tanks get beaten. Artilleries have firepower (or rocket artillery) which make them very rarely get attacked. |

And crowd tactics still works the same when the health is bellow 50% |
