I've recently started focusing down my artillery in preparation for 1975. What's the best general to have for this?

Different people have different view. Depends on what you care about more.

Wow. I went to take a quick leak and then I see I've already got a reply.....On top of things, are we?
I'm looking for raw damage. I honestly could care less about the defensive capabilities of my artillery generals. That's what mechanized infantry units are for.

Govorov and Leeb are quite good choices for artillery generals. I say Govorov is the better choice for raw damage.

1. Manstein(high movemnt, very high output) 2. Govorov(very very high output) 3. Zhukov(fine movement, fine output, holds tons of damage) 4. Konev(fine movement, fine output) 5. Bai C.X.(high movement, fine output)

Against aliens is Yamamoto also great because he has great health, enough movement, great output.... But the most important thing he can also help you with airrsupport! Very important imo when hugh wolfpacks of ufos, which are easy destroit with air strikes, are planning to kick your @ss!
So i will say: 1. Manstein 2. Govorov 3. Konev/zhukov 4. Yamamoto 5. Badoglio/bai

I think we are al different generals.... I finished with all countries the allien conquests... mostly within 100 truns.. Yamamoto played a major role in all of these.. Remember I am talking about allien strategy not human!

I know that in alien conquest he(Yamamoto) is considered one of best options, but I was saying he is not arty he is multi tasker on a air carrier base.

Alien campaign I use him also.. I finished them all in gold but only in 1-2 stars... I assume to get all 3 star i need to grade my ion canon... Which takes a while..
Or maybe other strategy guys/ladies have other thoughts

I checked Manstein and Govorov, and I'm probably going with Govorov. I need raw damage right now, and he's the guy for it. Sorry Manstein, Russia's got yah beat:/
