How to add anchors in your guides. If you make a guide it useful to have BBC-anchors. With amchors you can link direct to a position in your post. My example has two countries: France and Russia Only for desktop: You have to switch to BBC-code: click the tab down the editbox.
β France:To add just before France (where is the β ) the invisible anchor for france, add this bbc-code: [a name="france"][/a] β‘ Russia:And before Russia (β‘) add: [a name="russia"][/a] That's it.
Now you can link and jump directly to these anchors: add a # and the name of the anchor ie #france It is nice to put the anchors in the usual empty line before a section. Your text stays untouched, and more important: it looks better when your headline it not direct attached to the top. I added the anchors at ΒΉ and Β² Anchors are invisible, don't add extra lines. If have to group put always the group first. Exp: [a name="1789hotze"][/a] This is the post /thread/13529/adding-anchorsAnd link to the Sections /thread/13529/adding-anchors#france/thread/13529/adding-anchors#russiaeuropean-war-4.boards.net/thread/13529/adding-anchors#franceeuropean-war-4.boards.net/thread/13529/adding-anchors#russiaStart

So ππ³π°π΅π΄π¬πΊ ,should I have to keep this code below every country name in the guide I created? Also, how do I keep link as text in a spoiler like in the ew4 library?

So ππ³π°π΅π΄π¬πΊ ,should I have to keep this code below every country name in the guide I created? Also, how do I keep link as text in a spoiler like in the ew4 library? a) put the Anchor BEFORE the section. The usually empty line before the headline of a section is perfect - it looks the best and your code remains readable. In my example the anchors are at ΒΉ and Β². a2) I don't know if it is is necessary to link every single country (use [a name="1798HRE"][/a] ), but to have an anchor before the six conquests will be very useful (name="1798" etc.) b) Spoiler: I don't know if there is a button in the desktop version, so in BBC-view: The code:
Hello @rommel323 - nice work!
Result: ot.) Links here in this board usually open a new tab on mobile (not my links). This is perfect for your guide as launchpage but imo not handy for most other links. To avoid that a link opens a new tab, I add target="_self" . P.S. Historical: The Anchor was the firstmost piece of the www. This is the reason, why html-tag for links is tag <a> like anchor - or the first. (and not <l>-ink or <h>yperlink)

This is correct John Marston it works. I updated the snipplet. You can test and copy now. I would consider to put the anchors maybe before the headline... But now you can test and modify like you prefer.

I am now working on a Wallachia 1815 Guide. Tired of searching the boards for new guides.
