Does anyone know a good and easy 1939 conquest to S rank? Ive tried and succesfully completed german army group D and italy army group west only using 1 gen(bock) and i still fail to get S rank. Also is 1941 doable with only the free 1939 gens? Thanks Completed with German A ....at least i got to use Manstein without purchasing any $..lol And now i m in big trouble with German D :( Here is a guide for German A: Step 1: Put Guderian down in Manstein's army group. Step 2: Wreck everyone.

Just S ranked German A, 19 turns, seven generals.
Here's a little guide of how i did it. (You don't need all these gens but one good tanker is recommended.)
Turn 1: Move Manstein's group to join up with the small group in front of him. Move Rundstedt forward as well. Other than that stay put.
Turn 2: Use Manstein's Group to take Strasbourg. Throw your best tanker down on a Panther with Manstein and give both an extra stack. Move Rundstedt into Stuttgart and build him a nice little army. Use your other armies to push south and mop up any small stuff around Strasbourg.
Turns 3-5: Split your Forces. Manstein and Guderian/Rommel/whoever should go north to take Paris and support German B. Rundstedt and some other small groups should push to the south coast via Lyon and cut off French Centre. START FUNDING GERMAN D. Once you take Reims, Paris and Lyon your economy will be enough to sustain you, and you need to make sure German D gets a foothold in Poland ASAP. If Poland Second manages to start fighting back, restart. Also, Beware of Tassigny and De Gaulle. They can be frustrating but Manstein should be able to mop them up.
Turn 6-10- Mop up France. French Centre should Collapse outright after De Gaulle and Tassigny die. Move Rundstedt and his side bars down the east side of France all the way to Montpellier and Marseille. Then push west to Bordeaux. Beware of a Strong default commander near Limoges. I lost Rundstedt to him in my run. Start Funding either Italian East or German C(Italy East is prefered) to mop up Yugoslavia, As German D SHOULD have wiped up Poland by now. Build one infantry in Leipzig and give it Foreign Legion. You'll use this to grab Copenhagen.
Final Turns- 11-17
If Rundstedt is Alive, Great. If not, that's OK, but you might want an inf gen. Use mass Airlift to Ship Manstein into Britain, preferably at Bristol or London, whichever is open. Immediately give the city you take a Heavy Plant. If you have an Arty gen that's great, if not no worries. Put Bock down on a two-piece Maus and you should be set. Mop up Britain over the next few turns. Don't forget the ports, but German B should help with that.
And that's all!

As long as you keep Manstein alive it's probably the easiest Western Front AG. Although German D and Italy East can challenge that.
