The British and Finnish have it rough, but they are the best for complex terrains on Army Group mode. Edit: It seems that the British Irish Guards look like a worse duplicate of the Finnish L-39 Anti Tank.
The rest all have their utility.
NKVD: If the 15% odds are frequent and consistent, they'll be worth it for defence and offense.
Otherwise, I think Japanese Akita and German Grenadiers look good.
I'm still new so these are just my impressions from looking at their skills.

Akita is high damge to armored Grenadier so balance Irish Guards best choice for "Blitzkrieg"

I always use Irish guards because of 36% and the movement and Grenadier because of the 42% and -25% which helps keep your unit healthy against double stacked medium tanks.

This is my Ranking 1)L-39:What's scarier than a Finn with an anti-tank rifle hidden in the woods? The stats are perfect, and the skill is the one that does the most damage, even moving in the snow does is mandatory in Eastern Front scenarios. 2)Grenadier: armed with panzerfaust and panzerschrek this unit has the strongest attack in its class and the defense bonus makes it even better, it unlocks even at the beginning of the game, it deserves first place but lacks vision and defense. 3) NKVD: the stats are all good, and the skill is also good but it doesn't hold a candle to the Panzergrenadier or the Finns. 4) Irish Guard: I was a bit undecided but in the end I decided to put the Irish Guards on for their mobility and because they unlock early. 5) Akita: apart from the damage the other stats are not great but the skill is quite useful, if as in real life it was a kamikaze unit it would be lower but it would also be more fun to use 6) Patriot: It hurts me to put this undervalued unit in the last place, but excluding the defense which makes it very useful in combination with the engineers it is rather mediocre, even in the basic form it has no attack bonus, it still remains a good unit

A - Patriot - Bad Antitank, But OP stats and a very useful second skill.
A - L39 Antitank - Best for killing tanks, with strong defense.
B - NKVD - Amazing stats (bad defense, though), with very solid skills. Best Allied Antitank. Only up here because allied.
C - Grenadier - Baby L39.
D - Akita - Too fragile, but very strong.
F - Irish Guards - Baby NKVD, but even the NKVD isn't too good.
