So you can take over your allies cities and the ai doesn't care one bit. EW4 you do it and your allies will turn on you. The AI is brain dead auto-battle is broken. Full heavy tanks cannot beat Infantry when it's auto. It feel like ew5 conquest build unit and move towards this city. Five turns is to short for battles and you cannot defend the cities and you have to leave it up to the stupid auto system. At least the modding files are easy to get

Five turns is to short for battles and you cannot defend the cities and you have to leave it up to the stupid auto system. At least the modding files are easy to get In this game infantry are toe to toe with the tanks so you can't put 1 tank against a couple of infantry and expect a quick win like the previous games also 5 turns makes perfect sense as the only thing in the way of your troops with the enemy is usually the terrain like for example french army group center being defended by mountains from the east but when the Germans attack from the south the situation changes and the battlefield is now an open plain. What I'm trying to say is that the battle ai is flawed and superior army's can lose to inferior once but there is little difference between your ai and enemy ai in the actual battle that the only thing that matters is the setup of the battle in which you only sent a tank to confront the mixed and numerically superior enemy which is kinda your fault but it's understandable because of the sheer power of tanks in previous easytech games

AI MUST control the sea to the west of France when all the fighting is done in Italy and Balkans. Because it's crucial to win.

Still AI is brain dead level as your allies. EW4 has better system when you take cities that belong to your allies

Still AI is brain dead level as your allies. EW4 has better system when you take cities that belong to your allies That part of the EW4 AI means absolutely nothing in terms of whether or not the AI is good or not imo. The ally AI in that game didn’t really matter too much since I recall the AI (on both sides) being really passive compared to other games. Very rarely could the AI actually take out larger countries. The ally AI in this game is frustratingly bad since you need them to survive and they make terrible decisions like wasting money you donate to them on air attacks. Plus they apparently use forced marches on units that haven’t moved? That’s impossible for the player and I haven’t seen the enemy AI do something that dumb. I’ve never played a strategy game where AI intelligence is the main challenge. It’s always because they have a lot more units and better position or more resources and whatever, and that’s fine, a hard AI would be unfun to play against anyway. I’d prefer it if the enemy did that (which I suspect they might already do) instead of having an ally AI that’s just even worse.
