Gibirgsjager is best. Because it has special terrain bonuses.

These are basically the least useful special forces in the game imo. The one thing they’re maybe good at is dealing with navy.

I think it is good that we have so many special Infantry forces. Because the best of them will be destroyed in a couple of turns anyway and we always can deploy new ones... They are cheap as well.

The only reason that I would use the engineering corps is to building something. And, for that particular reason, I gave priority to those that have 'Build round -1.'

Btw, does anyone know whether the 'Reduce enemy's air damage by XX% in the area' only affects the grid that unit is on or also the grids around?

Just that grid.

A+ through C will all be the build round minus 1 because those are obviously the best engineers. A+ - Scotland Engineer - "The lads be the best all rounders, as me granddaddy used to say, like the belt on me kilt! He He He." A - Taurus Corps - For getting there and building. B - Pioneer - Best offensive, but why would you want an Engineer for that? C - Royal Engineer - It has the most HP... and what else exactly? D - Gebirsjager - Wow! Ridiculously awesome stats! (It doesn't matter if it has no attack, I don't use engineers to attack.) However, It doesn't have the Build round -1, so it is just a D . F - Rising Sun - Good Stats, but trash perks.

This is my ranking 1)Taurus Corp:One of the first special units,is very fast it can help a lot to build more things in different places 2)Scotland Engineer:A bit slower but more versatile 3)Pioneer:Good offence and mobility 4)Royal Engineer:More Hp but nothing special 5)Gebirgsjäger:Very good stats with a lot of defence and mobility but doesn't have the bonus fof -1 round for building 6)Rising Sun:same as the Gebirgsjäger but worse In real life the engineers are probably the most useful forces you can have, but in the game they are a little useless because in the countryside there is a limited number of special forces possible and having little time it would be a bit of a waste of time to build fortifications,in the army group they are just as useless because you can't build structures without be in battle, in united front they are more useful and probably they are also in conquest but I'm not sure because I haven't updated the game yet

The thing that won me Balkan Campaign was solely the GebirgsJager and the Panther. I'll go for those.

*Sad Parachute Jaeger noises* I'd rather Parachute Regiment and the Italian paras. Parachute Jaeger has the best attack and can ignore movement debuffs from all natural terrain. What's not to like about it, besides its lack of bulk?
