Hello you all! I’m sorry if this was already answered here, but what is the usefulness of these oil fields in some provinces/campaigns apart from the extra resources they give you? Do they work like the temples in EW6?

They just generate resources. I've tested it and got 2 medals while doing so  |

With medals I guess you mean coins.
Yes, there are two types, one gives two coins and the other gives four.
No, they do not heal troops that are stationed in them. The only way to repair ships is docking them in the port and pay coins, like you would do with a tank in a factory or infantry in a city.
