With me having 2 of the best tank generals for each side Ive decided to turn my attention to infantry, I have yamashita and macarthur as my main infantry generals but I think I should gen secondaries since infantry are just so abundant. Just for reference my current generals are Axis: guderian, rommel, leeb, kesselring, nagumo Allies: monty, patton, macarthur, nimitz, govorov

So you already have one infantry general for each side? I have only one (plus the ones provided by free) and made it over the whole campaign, so RN I don't see any point on buying from the current list another one.
I guess you also made it over the campaign too, if not, you should not have troubles seeing your current generals. I will recommend you to wait until the new patch (with likely some new gens) comes. Stock up medals as anything can happen. Who would've guess you could actually purchase Princesses as Generals for your setup in European War 6? Well, from one day to another, it was a posibility, and while all were decent and cheap, a couple were even top tier.
That said, if you still want to buy now another one, Mannerheim is for me rank 2 for the axis, followed by Rundstedt, while Vasilevsky is number 2 of allied forces, followed though not closely by Slim.

Yeah I agree we should wait for the 1944-1945 campaigns to decide so I'll probably just buy Dowding for my main allies air gen. Also purchasable princesses seem to be a fun idea who would you like to see added to the game as Princess?

Also purchasable princesses seem to be a fun idea who would you like to see added to the game as Princess? Princesses existed in that game before, but they only could be added to cities, providing some bonus (like allies 3 tiles afar will get a % received damage reduction, or infantry trained on this city will be cheaper by %), and they could be upgraded to increase those values.
The update made them be recruitable, with her upgrade level being the rank they will start on upon being purchased. However if purchased, it was removed from the list so you could not use her anymore to gain her Princess bonus on a city.
Sadly there's no Princesses or anything alike so far, so I doubt it will be an addition from scratch. But something else is needed to spend medals on, as a shortage in medals is what may lead to purchases, which ET also relies on. Sure, they'll add more special medals, one that boosts some of the technologies in Army Group (like Spy and False Intelligence lasts 1 turn more, Airlift and Mass Airlift range increase by 50%, etc), or another that allows you to start United Front and Campaign missions with 15% more coins, or a few focused on the new game mode that will be added.

I think Student would make a good second axis infantry general. If you put him on a paratrooper he can fly into a position to surround an enemy and batter it with his high morale + passion. Tassigny mainly cuz he's the cheapest option with a golden guerilla. Also you can take advantage of high mobility for both generals and surround a unit giving Tassigny the ability to use his victory rush.
