Unit Atk = base atk * formation coefficient + general bonus + aura bonus + unit level bonus + morale bonus + country bonus
Formation coefficient: divide your unit's current hp by its max hp of a single formation and you can find which range does it fall into. (0-0.5): 0.5 [0.5-1.5): 1 [1.5-2.5): 1.25 [2.5-3.5): 1.4 [3.5-4]: 1.5
General bonus: check the attack bonus in the respective area.
Aura bonus: check the skill explanations.
Unit level bonus: the unit's attack will increase at levels 1,3, and 5. Check the technology page for the actual number. Technology determines the initial level of the units.
Morale bonus: rising +5, dropping once -5, dropping twice -10, affects both minimum and maximum.
Country bonus: exists if the color of the unit's attack is green.
Damage = unit atk * defense coefficient * crit coefficient * damage bonus by percentage * damage reduction by percentage + damage bonus by fixed amount
Defense coefficient: (def + 48) / (4 * def + 48) Def value is next to the shield icon in the unit stats page.
Crit coefficient: 1.5

Skills: Desperate: decreases enemy morale on counterattacks by 10/5. Inspiration: increases morale of surrounding allies by 5 each turn until it reaches 80. Rumor: decreases morale of surrounding enemies of a defeated enemy unit by 5. Paratrooper: increases morale after using airborne by 25. Samurai: the morale of the unit will not drop below 51. Encouraged: increases morale after defeating an enemy unit by 10/5. Garrison: the morale of the unit will not drop below 80 when located in cities. Dive bombing: decreases morale of enemy attacked by air by an additional 5. The effects of other skills should be clear from in-game explanations. If there are other unclear ones please reply and I'll add them.

Just wondering, what’s the base crit chance? Easytech usually makes it 5%. Not sure if they changed it this time.

Thank you for the formula. It seems ET is using a similar formula as it has been. I would like to ask about how the morale system works. What is the initial morale level and at which point that the morale state becomes up? down? double down? chaos? How do attacking, flanking, and surrounding affect morale level?

What is the initial morale level and at which point that the morale state becomes up? down? double down? chaos? How do attacking, flanking, and surrounding affect morale level? Units start at 80 morale, 85 is high, 50 is low, 20 is very low and 0 is chaos They lose 25 if they get surrounded and extra 25 if they get completely surrounded Units lose 5 when they are attacked or attacking even (just getting damaged basically), an extra 5 if they lost a stack that attack and gain an extra 10 when annihilating an enemy

Question: how much damage does fire do and does it reduce morale

Question: how much damage does fire do and does it reduce morale I believe units that caught fire won't get low morale, but over time as they take damage from the fire (if it stays on the flaming hex and fire rages on for a few turns) their morale may decrease. Fire should do no more than 20 HP damage?

Question: how much damage does fire do and does it reduce morale Fires do 5% of a units total hp, lasts for 1-3 turns, and doesn't lower morale. Also I think the fire keeps going if the position is attacked but don't quote me on that.

First of all, thanks Erich von Manstein for sharing the formula. I've been testing it and found out that the country bonus is added to the base attack prior to multiplying for the formation coefficient (the country bonus it's always +5, but increments with recruitment). Unit Atk = (Base Atk + Country Bonus) * Formation Coefficient + General Bonus + Aura Bonus + Unit Level Bonus + Morale Bonus + Special Unit Bonus Also, when a land unit enters water, the bonus are added after half the attack is deducted. The formula is: Unit Atk = (Base Atk + Country Bonus) * Formation Coefficient * 0.5 (Transport) + General Bonus (Navy) + Aura Bonus (Navy) + Unit Level Bonus + Morale Bonus + Special Unit Bonus And lastly, I've seen that high morale is +5, low -4 and very low -8.

Saltin, can this be pinned as well? Sorry to bother you. We should add it to the gog3 library that's already pinned. eeeeef want to edit your thread if not I can do it for you. We just need to add a section for gog3 game mechanics.
