I don't have access to a computer to draw maps or fun things like that, so sorry for giving directions via text.
I got 3* my second try. The general flow of the battle will be Rommel moves west to the objective city. Patton moves to Kasserine and holds. Montgomery will move to city east of El Guettar and hold.
You start with one heavy tank that should be your best armor commander. If you have Manstein, throw him on the regular tank. Put your next best armor commander on the heavy tank reinforcement available in two turns. A good navy commander helps on the starting battleship. Leeb (or zhukov) on the heavy artillery.
Battleship goes west with Riccardi and clears enemy fleets. At the far west there is a triggered objective for sinking the highlighted ship that frees up a bunch of units in Sicily.
You will basically follow the AI Rommel. Move west and capture that objective, then move to Kasserine, then to El Guettar. I took El Guettar on turn 8. Once you have taken El Guettar, you can send a couple infantry over to the western objective city that is in the middle of the map. Everyone else from your initial force should go southwest city to south central to Medenine (I took medenine on turn 19). Non-sicily reinforcements should beeline to Kasserine then stay with your original units. Sicily reinforcements should follow the coast and run into Monty and then into Medenine.
Cunningham is on an aircraft carrier just north of Medenine. Once you have him sighted, it is pretty easy to blow him up with coastal batteries (or a cruiser reinforcement, or the AI can take him out sometimes). He went down on like turn 12 for me.
The biggest rushes were getting to El Guettar in time and then finishing the mission. I did not feel much of an economy pinch in this mission so you can keep up on special units and making sure your armor units are healthy.
