After putting this game on hold for so long I've decided to come back and beat it after finishing GoG3, I come back and I find myself sitting on good sum of medals and I'm currently wondering who to spend it on.
I'm currently leaning towards Antony as I've heard of his remarkable speed and utility but Huo, pompey, cleo, agrippa, and crassus seem to be nice options as well.
If you are wondering my gens are Infantry build commander, pacorus, pedius, and pothinus and I'm currently on the mithridatic wars.
Any suggestions?

No response Anthony it is then! If you need a fort cracker, Crassus. Consistently strong, but less mobile cav gens would be Huo and Arminius. If you want archers, go for the best: Mithridates IV. Since you have an inf Commander, you can put Pompey on hold for now.

Also would you guys recommend cleopatra? That navy aura, commander skills, stars, and price look really appealing to me at the moment.

Update: I've bought and drusus and pompey so my roster is looking very good right now but I am a little lost on who to buy for my next general. I'm considering mithridates, crassus, agrippa, huo, or arminius. Any suggestions?

If you're playing Conquest more often, choose between Huo or Arminius. european-war-4.boards.net/thread/11269/arminius-huoOtherwise, Mithridates is an okay option. IIRC, there should be occasions in certain Campaigns in which two archers are provided or slingers can be trained in an Archery.

I think I'm going level up my gens for the extra Navy stars and attempt this mission again.

My preferred way is to deal with their main focus first, then invest the rest into navy followed by the next best troop type. I had Pompey as my 2nd best admiral next to the Commander.

Currently saving for a second archer commander, I've heard that mithridates is overated and that I should for Octavian instead. Would like to hear a you guy's opinions on the matter.
