At about turn 225 in Conquest, I thought I had won the game. It claims that the US is still alive. I have looked everywhere on the map. I found a US sub and US control over a harbor and eliminated both of them. I looked everywhere on the map. I even went through the normal speed animations and saw no US activity or zones of control anywhere. Units are generally just randomly heading north and forming enormous formations. It is now turn 235 and I think it may have screwed me over because of a glitch. Does this happen? Is there anything I can do about it? Appreciate your feedback. I have really gotten into the game so far. It is very well designed and holds my interest.
Thank you.

Try rechecking every port, you may have missed one.

Thanks for responding ustyno92. I went back anc checked it out again, THOROUGHLY. Also I noticed that Liberia is still alive. I declared war on them and wiped them out because I thought maybe there was an issue with them being related to the US or something. Somehow they ARE because it also shows on the turn ID thing in the bottom right that Liberia and the US are both still alive, when I can find no other evidence on the map for it. It is difficult for me to think that the situation is not a program glitch of some type. I have played too many of these grand strategy games that crash when you are ready to win. I thought this one was different as it really ran great until this situation. I'll just leave it there indefinitely unless there is a solution to it I am not aware of.

Hmm, a strange problem. If you can send screenshots I should be able to help.

I had similar experience with you when i played the conquest, found US had no activity when i didn't skip the fast forward, turned out that the port in Lima was captured by US.

Thank you, guys. I got the victory. I did not see that the US had a port in the Panama Canal Zone area and also did not notice that Mongolia had Guantanamo Bay. Looking at it, I think those should have a red (enemy) ring around it? Thanks again. The Liberia thing just cleared up on its own, I guess.

Try rechecking every port, you may have missed one. I suggest checking multiple times. I usually don't find it on the first search. Also, the location of the subs may indicate the area where it came from. I usually find it on the 2nd-4th search.

I had an episode where Turkey was showing to still be in the turn roster even though, in 1939, Turkey had nothing left unclaimed on the map. I turned the game over to the A.I. for a few rounds and whatever it was got fixed because it let me get the victory. Weird.

shamgar the same thing happened to me when i was Germany but it was Mexico... by turn 51 i eliminated Mexico and all it's ports and cities. I was wondering why Mexico was alive when i eliminated it. Before i could defeat mexico i defeated USA Canada and CUba, turns out Mexico stole my port near LA and my motorized infantry took it to lead me to victory (this was 1943, first 1943 victory)
