I know some of you folks are from other countries. While I know most Americans were horrified by what happened in DC, I'm curious to know how people outside the US and perhaps local folks you know feel about what happened.
After gathering my thoughts the last few days, I personally feel this was a coordinated domestic terrorist attack incited by the president and a few congresspeople.
This isn't intended to be political or trigger an arguement, so please limit references to politics. Thanks.

As many papers have already condemned it as an attack on democracy. I was horrified to read this news. Trump and only trump must be to blame it. It must be looked into carefully and all rowdies must be detained quickly. Idiot trump has brought nothing but four years of shame to America.
I know what America is going through. Corona, elections, Don's Mob... it must be saddening to see your country in such a state.

I hate riots of any kind, whether they be over George Floyd or Joe Biden. I, however believe that it was a domestic terrorist attack incited by Antifa and blamed by the news on the POTUS. While I certainly dislike (personally) the POTUS, I feel like sparking a riot is just not something he would (or to have the capabilities to) incite. I would show a video, but I don't know if I am allowed to post non-game related videos not made by me. I also would like some media that is unbiased, neither "Trump is next Hitler" or "Trump is next Jesus Christ." By the way, most "centrist" news stations lean left by a lot.

I f I said that there will be a, I don't know, a storming of Area 51, and tons of looney toons actually do it, does that make it my fault? I say no, but you might think differently.

But Trump is different. He has huge followers(White Supremacists), who believe in whatever trash he says. They are the ones who follow him blindly.

4 things:
1. Can you give me the exact wording of the post(s) calling for this?
2. The supporters were right in saying the election was rigged. All are, including the one that put Trump in office.
3. I don't think all of his followers who blindly support him are White supremacists (I know tons of colored supporters). I think they are just ordinary people being manipulated by the media. People are by nature incredibly stupid (Actually, I think they are taught by society, but that is another topic), and believe the stupid garbage politicians feed them, who are in turn fed (and believe) the stupid garbage from their little puppet masters.
4. Trump is a relatively harmless buffoon. He says stuff before they can put a spin doctor on it. I suppose that is why he seems so evil in the eyes of so many. I just think he is incredibly easy to manipulate.

1. I searched for that tweet. But trump's account is now blocked. Anyways, I found this - "Trump announced plans for a rally before the January 6 vote count to continue his challenge to the validity of several states' election results. On December 18, Trump announced on Twitter, "Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!" - Says wikipedia
2. "The supporters were right in saying the election was rigged. All are, including the one that put Trump in office." - Why?
3. "I don't think all of his followers who blindly support him are White supremacists" - my apologies to everyone hurt by this statement. I meant "most"
"People are by nature incredibly stupid (Actually, I think they are taught by society, but that is another topic), and believe the stupid garbage politicians feed them, who are in turn fed (and believe) the stupid garbage from their little puppet masters. " Right. I Agree
4. "Trump is a relatively harmless buffoon. He says stuff before they can put a spin doctor on it. I suppose that is why he seems so evil in the eyes of so many. I just think he is incredibly easy to manipulate." - I believe that every moment Trump stays in the office, there is a serious risk of World War 3. Countless incidents have justified it.

It is really sad to see the US going through all of this. But - " It is often in the darkest skies that we see the brightest stars".Love, from India, John Marston,

I’m not really informed on the whole situation, but anyway, here goes:
I feel like the way he worked was to continue to appeal to a certain group of people by telling them stuff that they wanted to hear. To the point where his supporters would fanatically defend him despite him really not accomplishing much. I for certain don’t really know what he’s done while in office. The wall never happened, and his handling of the virus is absolutely horrifying (A quarter of a million new cases within a country every day was just unthinkable for me a few months ago).
So while I don’t think he outright incited the riot at capitol hill, he definetly built up a crowd that could concievably do that. Maybe he thought this would end up as a protest just outside the building that would overturn the election somehow, but as usual, things didn’t go the way he thought it would. And I also think he just tried to clean up his mess by just fruitlessly telling his folks to go home (while telling them stuff like «I love you, you’re very special», which, again, is stuff he tells them so that they still like him.)
Still. This guy was an absolutely terrible president. And this is probably one of the worst things he’s caused, next to not taking the virus seriously so that 400 000 americans have lost their lives as of this point.
That’s my 2 cents on the whole situation.

About, the virus, it is nowhere near as bad as the media would have you believe, with 80% of cases asymptomatic, and of the symptomatic cases with a 98% survival rate. In addition, it is not even as contagious or deadly as you might think, at least here in America.

"So while I don’t think he outright incited the riot at capitol hill, he definetly built up a crowd that could concievably do that" - Then, the trigger point was the tweet he made for protests on Jan 6.
