Hi, this is a bit too long ago for me but I will try to share what I remember.
The most important part is to land on Songkhla. Do not be too rush here otherwise the coastal cannon will make fish food out of you.
- Turn 1: Try to destroy the ship docking in the port. Put Ozawa on the range-4 battleship to out range it. You probably won't be able to destroy that ship in the first turn but leave it severely damaged.
- Try to move your infantries closer to the land but out or the artillery range. Your artillery should be out of the coastal cannon range. No need to rush landing the artillery at this point. leave the landing job to the infantries.
- Turn 2: Destroy that ship if you have not. Use one infantry to take the port. This will make other units to move up to the land quickly. Now, there can be two scenarioes.
- If you manage to move one of your infantry near to tip of land to the right of Songkhla then the enemy unit at the airport will move to that tip of land, leaving the airport vacant. With the port captured, you can move the last infantry (the one that is not occupying the port and not at the tip of the land) from the sea to capture the airport right away.
- If the airport is still occupied then attack the artillery in Songkhla with ship before take it.
- As long as you captured Songkhla by turn 3-4 then it is still fine.
Once Songkhla is captured...
- You can move south the the next coastal city.
- Watch out for a general on heavy artillery. Once you detect, quickly close the distant and destroy it from range one.
- Try to out range the enemy ship with Ozawa's battleship and attack land units with your ship.
- But do not attack the infantries manning coastal gun. Clear them with land units
- Soon, a British general on a battleship will appear. Your friendly fleet will attack it but you can easily sink him with your infantries commanding coastal guns. There are two of them next to the city.
- When this British general is defeated the enemy morale will go down. Use this chance to quickly kill other land units in order to meet the second bonus objective.
The rest is to mop up the enemies...
- At this point, if you have not lost many troops then the rest will be easy.
- Just try to keep your troops alive by replenish them in the city. You can also take the factory a bit to the south west for armor units.
- You can out range most of the enemies with your ships if they are close enough to the sea.
- So the main factor in this campaign is to keep your troops alive. Just try to utilize the range attack of your ships to avoid damage.
