I'm not applying (have low history knowledge) but I think I'm the minority of people here that know at least a little about history because of ET games getting me into it, not my history knowledge getting me into ET games. (just saying)

Gerd von Rundstedt , how about some Q/As time? Put some random historical questions and let people put their views. I know that we have other threads here having the same function, but still, let's do it because - 1.Let's do something other than just taking in people. 2. I really want to revise my historical knowledge. What better than debate 3. I am getting nostalgic. Alright, how about we post our opinions of if the Bolshevik revolution improved the lives of Russians in the long run. I don't think that the Bolshevik Revolution improved the lives of Russians in the long run because 1. Post USSR Russia was in chaos which led to oligarchs basically running the country. Putin stuff and propaganda and censorship and Ukraine. 2. If the Bolsheviks did not take power the culture of Russia would be way more progressive and more accepting of feminism and LGBTQ+ rights now. I don't know much about history but this is my perspective.

The Tsars were incompetent autocrats, most of whom didn't do much. I mean, they exported food even when they had a famine in their country. They had to be replaced.

Until Gorbachev I think. Also, I CANT BELIEVE THAT GORBACHEV IS STILL ALIVE!! AAAA

The Minister of War Kerensky, was one marionette in the temporary goverment of the bourgouasie - installed tor reestablish order and to prevent a real revolution If Russia became a democracy, then they probably would have guaranteed Poland and stopped a brief Battle of France, preventing WWII and The Cold War. But if the Tsar stayed in power we would be speaking German. Also, Tukhachevsky wouldn't get purged and would help modernize the Russian military. If there's no Red Army to fight for then I suppose officers like the great Kliment Jefremovitš Vorošilov will just join the Russian Army.
