Why would you need 2 artillery generals and admirals right off the bat? 2 art general is good but 2 admirals not needed, I bought my first admiral at start of Balkan Lion

Nah, i bought my gens like this
1. Beseler -Bought Macarthur 2. Ivanov 3. Hipper 4. Straussenberg/straubenberg 5. Beatty 6. Plumer 7.Lee And from then on, its up to u. I went for hindenburg and then Stepanovic for history and then bought Joffre and Macmahon for entertainment purposes and history, as well as some other rental history gens and thats it! Reason behind this route- artillery is key in this game, and the free arty gen just doesn't do it, so u need one right off the bat. Navy is actually rather important in the marine overlord campaigns so get hipper for that purpose. Then, the Austrian campaign I find to be rather easy, but annoying as u will need a actually maintainable inf gen, not just macarthur and Grant is literally useless. Then, you will find another navy gen will be helpful, and beatty will do that job for you. Moltke and Jackson can be groomed to be your cav gens, but this is the point where u need more gens so why not plumer? I mean he's one of the best cav gens in the game and has got cav commander ( just add precision strike). Now, at this point you are probably at balkan lion or near the french campaign, so buy lee, as you will have enough textbooks to invest in him. You should do the history modes of Austro-prussian war and cuban war at this point, they're relatively easy to do with almost max mobility and population tech at this point. Buy Hindenburg later, as you will need 3 arty gens in challenge conquests and he can help you if you are struggling to do franco-prussian war. Then, buy Stepanovic or Joffre, depending on your choice. Cav gens are Op and you will need pure power to break through stalemates during conquest challenges, and Inf is not that good at breaking through.

Also, for those worried about textbooks here is the optimal costs
Jackson-5 or 15 ( If you want to change riding master) Plumer-5 ( Add precision strike for goodness sake) Beatty- 5 (maybe, if you want to add escort) Ivanov- 5 ( Add storm fortifications) Beseler- 5 or 15 (make him your art commander gen) Straubenberg- 5 (Maybe, depending on your choice on what to do with ambush) Moltke- 5 (Add jungle fighting and he's a speedy horse-DON'T put him on armored cars tho) Hipper- 5 (Maybe) Hindenburg- 15 (add mountain/jungle and tactics master) Lee- 15+ (Remove battle array asap, depends what you do with ambush) Stepanovic -5 or 15 (I find his cover to trigger almost all the time, but idk. Change maneuver, inspiration if you want. But its such a waste to change lvl 4 inspiration, so I kept it) Joffre- 15+ ( Change Station, Maneuver maybe riding master? Give him precision strike, jungle or maybe tactic? Don't bother fixing movement, he's slow as a snail so I usually put him on tanks as he packs a punch and is GREAT for breakthroughs when faced with spam in challenge conquests)
BTW- just farm Cuban war for textbooks and more art expert medals (Yes u can get more than one somehow???)

You could pass marine overlords without buying an admiral
