On January 18th, people across America celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. For those who don't know, MLK JR was a civil rights leader, who fought for African American rights. Due to his efforts, African-Americans were given the right to vote and he ended segregation (a system in America where whites and blacks were separated). He never once used violence, even when violence was acted upon him. He only ever used peaceful means to achieve his goal: equality for all American men. He was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee in 1965. This man is one of the most important figures in American, if not world history, who should be held as highly as people such as Nelson Mendala and Mahatma Gandhi.

Lol your a little late on the MLK thread, but it's never too late to celebrate a man with achievements such as this.

I heard the day has nothing to do with him and before I forget (insert conspiracy theory here) caused his death
