Anyone able to help me with Barbarossa North? It's the third Eastern Front mission and the first gold star one in the campaign. My gens are Model, Bock, Messe and Leeb, and my tech is lvl 2 armor, lvl 1 arty, lvl 1 inf and base everything else.

I got a perfect clear with just the free gens, but my tech was level 3 armor, level 2 artillery and infantry, level 1 navy and air force. What part of the mission are you struggling with?

I can get to Pskov fine but after that I get ground down by Govorov and his crew in the east, while also trying to go north to take Tallinn Yeah, that stumped me at first, so what I did was to play all the non-star missions of Eastern Front first. I boosted my tech levels a bit and got Ozawa for the naval part of this mission. You need to put all your generals on tanks because you need S P E E D. Take the first city on turn 1 and head north toward the coastal city. Send your infantry and navy to take it and your tanks to take the little city east of it. The artillery will support both. Once you take the coastal city, heal up your infantry and turn them into paratroopers to take Tallinn. Your navy needs to break out into the Gulf of Finland to support your paratroopers. While this is happening, after your tanks deal with their city, your allies will be trying to take the city below it. Rush your tanks down there and take the factory to recruit some stacks. The infantry are fine on their own, so the artillery should be moved to support the tanks. Then, send your tanks and artillery to Pskov. Use fighters to weaken the infantry general's NKVD special force because it will hurt your tanks a lot. Your infantry and navy should have captured Tallinn a few turns after you take Pskov. I think the issue is that you lose too many forces trying to take Pskov. Govorov was really easy to kill for me because I could just surround him with my tanks.

Im Thinking that I may just play the non-stars, grind for Guderian. would that work, or should i get an allies gen such as Montgomery?

How do you not have Guderian yet? Because I got Leeb first and stalled big time at battle of Crete(That mission is hell) People usually buy both Leeb and Guderian pretty early on. I don't even understand why everyone is having so much trouble with battle of crete. Took me only one try to get a perfect clear with only the free gens and zero tech.

Or you can equip your infantry with the universal anti-air special force. Paratroopers can't land one tile near them. So you can block off landing zones easily.

How do you not have Guderian yet? artillery is more important for me. Half of your free generals are good on tanks. I spent money on Govorov and Badoglio instead.
