Please do not get vasilevsky if you have only one slot, Infantry is pathetic in this game compared to tanks and artillery. If you have all 4 slots, the best lineup is 2 tank, 1 artillery and one infantry.

MAKE SURE HE HAS 4 STARS IN SOMETHING!!! |

I guess your right (although F. artillery spam is better) IMO the best lineup is Rommel, guderian, govorov and vasilevsky I guess.

How? Guderian costs 13 medals more, and has 3 infantry stars to pattons 2,and an extra air star. I thought you of all people would want more infantry power.

Yes, of course, but when are you going to put a tanker on an infantry? Why put Guderian on a MI when he can be on a tank. The air star is practically useless in this game, because Guderian is not an air general. Patton is 13 medals cheaper, and those 13 medals are hard to scrape up. |

I don't have Guderian, my choice was Rommel and I completed the game with him. Since Heavy tanks are most valuable units you probably will hire both eventually. In Pacific 1945 campaigns there are at least 2 heavy tanks available in majority of missions. Btw, Rommel's desert fighting isn't a waste. There are deserts in a final Pacific 1945 mission, for example... |
