There's something about Germany attempting a landing against an English speaking nation that I just really suck at. Any tips?

My tech is 6/6/4/4/2. I had Donitz on the battleship, Ozawa on battleship turn 1, Guderian on heavy tank, Leeb heavy art, Rommel heavy tank turn 6 and Yamamoto on carrier which turns up.
Take Portland and the other southern city asap. Then stay compact, first attack the army approaching from the west. When they are destroyed, focus Rommel, another heavy tank and art on capturing the oil fields in the south. In the meantime get yourself ready for the Northern army to come down over the river (buy all heavy art to attack them), however let Guderian take the western city.
Your fleet should focus on destroying the enemies fleet first and then focus on bombing anything which comes in range of the river north of Portland and the British troops coming through the mountains.
Then slowly approach the city where Eisenhower sits destroying everything on a distance with your 4 heavy art and 3 heavy tanks. When you take the city move your tanks and infantry to the seaside city. Your fleet should be bombing that area by now.
When you take it go up, but leave a paratrooper on the airfield. Your heavy art will keep the british army busy from the middle city, while you attack the last city. You should be getting a lot of money per turn, bomb the last city and paratroop in.
I missed the defeat 15 units by one turn (unnecessary, I wasnt paying attention), but got the other two.
Hope this helps and good luck!

I think the trickiest part for all of us is dealing with the British who pound your crippled army. Any tips on sinking them at sea?
On land, the above guide works. Ignore unnecessary movements at focus on your key targets. Relish your army often and keep your formation tight.
