WC4 had one thing, and one thing only on it's predecessor, WC3, and that was the removal of border gore. Can't really say anything on this since I have never played WC3, but is surely there are more differences than that. 3 main differences: Moar animations and less border gore Formations added, and your enemies in conquest are hella OP (Yamashita got half his health taken by Shaposhnikov) The skills turned into research trees, which makes it extremely annoying when levelling up. In short, WC3 is simpler and more satisfying than WC4, while WC4 just turned into singleplayer Conflict Of Nations. Too annoyingly detailed for a mobile game. I did grow up on WC3, but even common sense says that WC3 is superior to WC4.

Ah yes, more depth is a bad thing. Makes perfect sense.

Uh, no. The Black Sheep is considered to be the weird one in the flock of sheep. EW5 is the black sheep because it takes the EW series out of the Napoleonic Wars, Victorian Era, and WW1. EW6: 1804 definitely does not fit the description of the odd one out. WC3/4 is seen as the face of of the WC series, no way can they be considered as black sheep. I would think WC2 is the black sheep of WC. The bare mission objectives, such as having to capture literally every single partition of land to win a mission, making it impossible to get past Fall Gelb, and also, it's just weird. It has weird mechanics and weird color scheme. I made it past Fall Gelb, but couldn't pass Sea Lion or Defend the Moscow.

Where is the link directed to? Anyone? Another ProBoards site. The admin there published theories long ago, which are being proved now. Unfortunately no one takes him seriously.
