It is Nikolai Ivanov from Tsar's own Russia, seriously No. It is the German General who invented the Artillery tactics used by Germany in Spring Offensive( it was the most successful offensive on the western front, it restarted the war of mobility and if Ludendorff had not decided to attack Paris and Amiens at one time, instead deciding to go for Amiens , Germany would have won as after losing Amiens, British would have to leave the continent or get trapped and annihilate. Americans were not in any significant number and most of them were training. This would leave French alone and now Germany has 2:1 advantage against France and Belgium with no trenches ahead them over half of front and no one to stop them from going to Paris except a delay due to logistics probably) , I could not remember his name. Best artilery general ever huh? I wonder why no one has mentioned ZHUKOV... ugh, Zhukov. I'm more for the glory of the tactician. I'd take Chuikov or Koniev anyday.

You must check out GO then. The possible game moves are more than the atoms in the universe. The rules too are simple I have played, and I find it too simple. Im more for the storyline, and how they view history. For example, WC3 was way too focused on Asia, and all the wrong battles, and in the Cold War, three Middle East campaigns is a bit excessive. I would love it if Slim had some part with the Battle Of Imphal, (Asia's own El Alamein), and the Siege Of Mandalay (Asia's own third campaign through the Escarpment). Yes, I do like simplicity, but you must understand, I grew up on WC3. It was the only Easytech game I played for a while, and I started branching out after finding these forums. Easytech games have evolved in such a way that each game I play seems new and completely different. I dont think it's my mental capacity, because I started playing GoG3, and genuinely enjoyed it, it's just imma have to get used to WC4.

Ah yes, more depth is a bad thing. Makes perfect sense. More depth in the wrong places, yes. I'd like to leave the research trees to HOI and CON. At least those are impossible, yet somehow fun. In those games you know immediately when you messed up when Russia invades you, and you dont even have tanks, but in singleplayer games, it's always an endless unanswered question, "should I have invested in marching first instead of firepower?" I recognize your comment immediately after, and you must forgive me for being a bit harsh as well.

But I started out on EW4 and WC3 before coming to the forum.

The world has become so (don't know exactly what to put here)that instead of respecting the best commander of WW2, they take someone inferior to them.

WOAH THERE PARDNER! I KNOW I AINT JUST HERE YA SAY THAT WC4 IS THE BACK SHEEP! WC4 had one thing, and one thing only on it's predecessor, WC3, and that was the removal of border gore. Eye-Covereds also.

Uh, no. The Black Sheep is considered to be the weird one in the flock of sheep. EW5 is the black sheep because it takes the EW series out of the Napoleonic Wars, Victorian Era, and WW1. EW6: 1804 definitely does not fit the description of the odd one out. WC3/4 is seen as the face of of the WC series, no way can they be considered as black sheep. as for, EW, I would have to say that EW6 1914 is the black sheep. It seems that WC series handles the modern world, while EW focuses more on Napoleon and antiquity. So, EW6 1914 is in a completely different timeline, and therefore the odd one out. No way my friend, European War focuses on Europe's Conflicts(see the name) so it is purely an EW game. Anything close to Black sheep is EW5 because of vast vast timeline and inclusion of World map in conquests.
