Does anyone have any experience with these and will they work instead of an internal fan? This is the kind of thing I'm talking about: linkI have a noisy laptop fan which could die any time and my choices are to either replace the fan, buy one of these, or buy a new laptop. Replacing the fan myself has the potential to go very wrong, and I don't want to buy a new laptop if it can be avoided.

Also, it will last longer than the Cooling pad.

Someimes, the noise of the fan gets so loud that we have to shut it down immediately.

I replaced the fan yesterday and as the laptop is still working today I declare the operation a success If anyone else is in the same boat I say see if you can find a good guide to follow and then judge for yourself if it is worth attempting or not.

Great! This is the solution! How many screws you got leftover?

Great! This is the solution! How many screws you got leftover?Although it was successful on this occasion, I feel I must stress the importance of research and advise extreme caution before attempting these kinds of repairs as an amateur: this was my first time opening up a laptop and it was a whole new level from any desktop PC repairs I've done in the past. I expect some will be more complex than others, but this is the guide that I used:
