What is your favorite country to play as in all of the eras? My favorite is Thailand 1939, because of all the sort of challenge it brings, as well as easily fallible countries surrounding you. Soviet Union 1943, because of how many good arty generals you get, (I love arty, like any sensible WC3 player), as well as the challenge of facing Super Heavy Manstein, as well as making something out of the Far East. UK 1950, because of having two fronts, so you can deal with the Chinese early and never have to deal with their paraspam. I havent finished this one, but I must say Saudi Arabia 1960 is quite fun, you start off with nothing, and then slowly build yourself into one of the richest countries on the map. I also havent finished this one, but Australia 1975 is actually pretty easy, because of the sparse amount of UFOs and Heavy Carriers in the area, it really gives you time to prepare for the waves.

I haven't played the game enough yet, but I will go for the axis side (Roughly) because if not, then the Germans and Japanese spam huge troops which will be difficult to clear.

Im trying France 1939 right now. I got Africa and Italy cleared out extremely early in the game, and I was able to capture Cologne and the Balkans as well. I have troops waiting around New Dehli, ready to capture it when its open. Badoglio was able to annihilate the god that Franco is in 1939 when he came upstairs to take Bordeaux. I miss Leclerc tho He captured Rome, and died at Cologne. I am trying my best to preserve all my French Generals. (Traitor) Petain died at Brussels, while I was just able to preserve Juin. So, so far 2/5 are gone, but ill protect the other 3 as well as I possibly can.

Idunno, it just seems unfair for Petain to show up in 1950, when there were much better less controversial options, like Leclerc, or Tassigny. But you are right about that. I would be surprised if the French army wasnt completely destroyed if it wasnt for Petain. If only he could have fought for the right side :/

Vichy France was legally formed by the parliament of Third French Republic and was recognised by USA, Sweden and most of the neutral countries when it was formed.

Vichy France was legally formed by the parliament of Third French Republic and was recognised by USA, Sweden and most of the neutral countries when it was formed. It was also handled by some of the proudest people, too arrogant to admit defeat. Pierre Laval was one of them, while Francois Darlan literally insulted the British when they landed in Algiers. Just because it was legal, doesn't mean it was right. It sent a lot of French POWs home, but also took all the men still in the Free zone to be the Wehrmacht's trench-diggers. Would you say that the massacre of millions of Jews, Gypsies, Yugoslavs, and disabled people is right? Because that was certainly legal to the Nazis. The history of France in the 20th century is a bit complicated, and i'd rather not discuss it here.

That is one reason I hate conquest I put all my untouched ECs on Assault Infantry, but Kuribayashi felt a need to capture Hanoi. I've got PMI in India waiting for the Japanese to capture New Dehli so I can steal it from them.
