Hello, I'm grand spanking new to this game, and Battle Of Fredericksburg is infuriating me. It's like WC3's Kursk in EW6, except that Burnside is a complete dumb*ss and charges at the enemy for 1 round, taking half of his health when he has so little with him. Then Lee and Jackson just have to stroll through my defenses and wipe Burnside off the map.

He can bypass your troops, but what I would do is confront the enemy so Burnside can't. Jackson should be your first priority, and Lee isn't much of a threat very early on, but if you leave him there, he can be terrifying. I would try to block him from getting to Burnside as you will not have the manpower to take both Lee and Jackson on at the same time. I have seen Burnside's AI do some things. A. Burnside will flee right away and cross the river with very little confrontations. Basically how you would do it if you could control him. This is your best bet. B. Burnside will spend 2-3 turns fighting. His health will be at half and he will flee at turn 5-7. Next best thing. C. Burnside's AI will goof and forget the objective, thus fighting and then retreating at turn 9. Worst thing as he will be in danger of dying.

Your best option is to spam Militia and block the opponent from getting Burnside if the situation is A. You will have to fight the enemy so Burnside can't, thus avoiding all damage, except from artillery if it's C. Do both for B.

That's going to be tuff one. Hood isnt amazing, but the amount of damage that you have to put on Atlanta is infuriating, even when I have Ulysses, Jackson, Sheridian "The Tanky One," and Farragut "Conqueror of New Orleans." Spy would work if I didnt have to fight my way through two Imperial Forts.

I see that the library for campaigns is quite empty... maybe you should add this thread to the library? Navia Lanoira

The battle of Atlanta for the union mission? Challenge or normal, because I don't think there's two imperial forts for the mission.

Immediately rush to Northeast city with your entire force, capture it as soon as possible, upgrade it to tier 3 and start to produce light artillery 2. Send 1-2 units to the Northwest city, try and steal it from Sherman as the scrap available will come in handy later 3. Build a university on one of the city and use the knowledge you have to build 3 blasts, and hopefully 4 in time 4. Surround J. Hardee with militia and your forces when he comes up north, kill him and take the southeast city 5. Send your entire force to Atlanta and capture it
