. Nobody even thought of that idea. Well thats not completely true:) I made a search and found out that many people wanted to open it badly but simply lacked the funds and tech. Ancient Egypt pharaohs, Romans, Abbasid Caliphs, Venetian bourgeois and finally Ottomans prepared projects but they all failed as we all know. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suez_Canal

What if operation typhoon was successful and Germans took Moscow but most of the Important officials and leaders including Stalin escaped and went west, then what do you think will happen. A big blow to the Soviets, but one that they can recover from, so it isn't a war-winner for Germany. German troops will be really overextended and another Soviet offensive will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Hitler might even get his troops encircled in Moscow since he would want to hold it at all costs. Also, if Stalin went west, he would be shot by the Germans lol.

What do you think will happen if Russian armies attacking Austria-Hungary were unable to retreat to the new frontiers in 1915, instead they got trapped by German forces in Poland by being encircled as planned by Ludendorff after Gorlice-Tarnow.

Nothing would have changed, Russian Tsardom had vast reserves, they could have transported their reserves that were battling with turks at caucasian front( they were winning against turks and it was a very secure front for russians. At the end of the day although germans advanced deep towards russia it was russia that led to their collapse.( With no eastern front ww1 miracle at marne wouldnt have happened) Great retreat resulted in a huge collapse at russian front btw so the thing you said almost happened. It was not a smooth retreat unlike the west. 1.5 million were either dead or captured where Central power casualties were up to 500k.

Because according to Soviet Estimates, that's when the army would be able to effectively fight the Germans. I don't think Germany can develop the capabilities to invade Britain in 2-3 years. That's also discounting the US joining the war. Britain was overextended. Why you think they can't? Where did you find those "Soviet Estimates". Stalin hated fascism and hitler. He wanted to launch his invasions as soon as he can but USSR in 1939 didnt stand a chance against germany in offensive so he wanted to make an alliance with france, britain and poland. but due to several reasons like “Appeasement”, anticommunism and the allies being less willingfull to suffer another horrific ww1 the negotiations collapsed almost immediately. I found a source from Russia Beyond. After the talks collapsed Stalin noticed that poland would be eaten by nazis completely thus german army would be dangerously close to leningrad and moscow so Stalin wanted to eat other half of poland. www.google.com.tr/amp/s/www.rbth.com/history/331039-ussr-britain-france-talks-wwii/amp

But, Quick fall of France changed all this because they have to basically fight Germany and France United( Germany got huge amounts of money from France as cost for maintenance of occupying forces from France) so he tried not to get into war with Germany and her allies.

Nazis controlled most of continental europe and they stole the national rezerves in order to fuel their war machine. However it is an undeniable fact that Stalin wanted to make a united front against fascism. Dude, moscow negoitations are in the archives of the Triple Entente so ım not making it up. Just imagine a triple entente, germany alone vs 3 giants. It all happened due to Chamberlains Appeasement infact, They could have stopped the fascist beast in 1936 rhineland incident.

A pre-Brevst-Litovsk situation could have happened, but I still insist on that Russia wouldnt have collapsed and with germans advancing deeply the frontline would have become larger.

dude, this was not a real alliance and during the tech-transfer NKVD hid soviet secret weapons like katyusha,KV-1,T-34and only displayed crappy tanks like T-70 and T-28. Plus the german economy became dependent on soviet fuel. Stalin and hitler both knew that a war would eventually come, but at that point no one was ready and this was just a non-agression pact that delayed the conflict.

That was far insufficient to fuel the massive reich. In fact in the year of 1944 german production reached a peak but they didnt had fuel at all. As far as I remember reich used a million horses for transportation in 1941
