Hello everyone.... With the sudden and blasphemous departure of Gerd von Rundstedt , I figured we could all say something in tribute to him, as he was a great member and friend. Allow me to start. Gerd von Rundstedt , I haven't been in this forum for very long, but in the time I have spent here you have been one of my favourite people to talk to. Your opinions, albeit controversial, never ceased to brighten my day and make me laugh, and the arguments and fight I had with you were hilarious. I will miss your voice of reason, your unending complaints and your great wisdom. Goodbye Gerd von Rundstedt . May your life be filled with success and happiness, and may you someday return to enlighten this thread with your limitless knowledge again. Best Regards, @vonmanstein77 , better known as vonmanstein77.

Gerd von Rundstedt, you were one of the first persons I discussed with in the Forum, you will be missed and forever for those who have known your presence, your absence will be wrong that none will be able to right. I could recite thousands of poems, hundreds of speeches and millions of quotes by long forgotten authors, none will ever fill the gaping hole left by your departure. All I can do is find comfort in the fact that in 4 years, you will return. Here is a quote from Don Quixote that fits very well to this event "Nothing ever goes away until it teaches us what we need to know"

Well Gerd von Rundstedt, I have been on for little more than a month, yet I feel only sadness with your absence, like I lost a good friend. You helped me on the right track for posting in this forum, and I must thank you. I promise you, we shall see each other when we both come out the other side. We will talk again, we will argue again, and we will laugh again. So long for now Ruddy.
