Ah yes, it's that time again, where I seek the guidance of the forum... lol. Anyways so I just started pacific 1941 and finished Pearl Harbor but it seemed like I need a new general. I'm deciding between Donitz, Yamashita, and MacArthur. Donitz because Ozawa seemed... mediocre at best and he can't hold his own at all. Yamashita because he seemed to be really good and a requirement for pacific war. MacArthur because I've finished the last two allied campaigns with only the freebies but this time it seemed that it's gonna be very difficult without getting a general, and I'm gonna have to get one eventually.

NotRandom, I can only recommend a Navy gen, Donitz or Nagumo being the best ones for the Axis. An allied general wasn't necessary for me until I came back later to *clear it whereas a navy gen is essential to getting through the Axis side. Get Donitz and then save up for a infantry gen

If you have problems with Infantry get Yamashita, he is also probably the #1/2 Infantry general for Challenges as well. I would also go Infantry first as its so important for Pacific (I made the mistake of going Navy First) If you do want a naval general, Donitz or Nagumo is ok. Donitz is a bit better for his aura. For the new Challenge mode, the navy generals also helps a lot. I wouldn't bother with an Allied Infantry General at this stage since the Ailled campaign is easier and I would save medals as there is so much more you can do with medals now. Like make crazy OP Special Forces units.
