So, let's hope we are going to recieve more contect and will be able to use our promoted generals and Sf's As I can see we can only promote 3 out of 5 stats of our SF units. Correct me if I am wrong. What do You think is the best promotion options for each unit type.
Let's take take best SF. There will be objections regarding what is the best SF, in that case propose Your own option.
Ok. Let's make a list.
Heavy artillery:
Katyusha attack -> vision -> hp/def (?) Elefant vision -> attack -> def
Heavy tanks: KV-6 attack -> hp -> def Maus attack -> hp -> def
Assault Infantry: Cossacks attack -> def -> hp, NKVD attack -> vision -> hp/vision Viking attack -> vision -> hp Grenadiers attack -> vision -> hp/vision
Medium tanks: KV-2 Panter
Artillery: M7-Priest Sturmtiger
Infantry tactics: QF 94mm movement -> attack -> hp 88mm Flak movement -> attack -> hp

I am still rushing nowhere... The idea to spend medals to open a chest looks somewhat bizarre to me, so I am moving forward at slow pace. I am still unsure of medium tanks and light Artillery. Yes, there is a bunch of missions without heavy tanks and artillery, but in those situations I am just using my Infantry generals. Are Light Artillery and Medium tanks SF really important?

That's why I left it empty for artillery and medium tanks Tactics infantry is also the last to think about. Panter is quite good, but rest... not sure I'll get to the point I'll have the resources to promote something here.

Maybe rate HP higher? You can use SF only once, so HP are important to use them longer.
For Arty I would rate Damage higher.

I haven't played conquests yet and that is what I normally do most of the time spent in ET games. But I checked it of course. And in my opinion Heavy tanks and Heavy arty will benefit a lot from Blitzkrieg tactic (rushing deep into the enemies' territory), so imo Vision is important as it will help them not to lose this HP due to lack of recon. But of course I am not experienced enough for now to prove it. It is just an assumption. Deff is also something we need to calculate thoroughly. Will its boosting provides more than HP? IDK.

Upgraded tank tech to max. And if we put KV-6 deff is 12 on a plain tile. In that case deff coefficient is 0,625 So after promotion of the deff stat of KV-6 w'll have 14. In that case deff coefficient will be 0,596
Marginal difference which will result in almost no difference when overall damage is calculated. So even with Heavy tank deff upgrade is useless.

What is Your calculation?

What is Your calculation? On a KV-6, it is marginal because it already has so much Defense, but the defense value is a curve. On infantry, the defense is 1, or it dodges 0.75% damage. Add 3 defense to that, and it dodges 20% damage, a significant amount.

At max tech I assume it will be 7. If promoted it will be 9. What the SF unit You are talking about with defense 1? With Cossacks it will be 2 points less. I think You can find deff coef. formula and damage formula to make a preliminary calculation and find out that in the end damage calculation the difference is in the range of statistical error. Don't want to spend time on that in case You are not ready to provide real figures and prefer to take some imaginary figure of 1 deff to back up Your point of view.

A Grenadier when maxed out has no defense. If one's infantry tech is only upgraded once, then when you promote the defense of the Grenadier, it will have three defense. This takes it from 0.75% damage reduction to 20% damage reduction.

I’d say we don’t know for what purpose we are upgrading If another missions, that’s fine But what if no new scenarios and we need to pass only challenge? Than investing in vision makes no sense I slowly upgrade attack here and there, but nothing more yet

Why aren't You taking it into account? What the world are You living it? Is it vacuum? Even with Grenadier deff coefficient is: (4+48)/(4*4+48)=0,8125 not promoted (6+48)/(4*6+48)=0,75 promoted deff Now, I kindly ask You to provide Your calculation with Grenadier from 20 to 75 reduction.
