There is no: Or you buy Vatutin (4 stars in tank), Liang (4 stars in infantry, but low health) or perhaps Jisaburo (3 stars in Air and Navy). Govorov is not recommended: Although he has 4 stars in artillery, the point is that he has relatively low health and as battleships are beasts in this game, Govorov is killed too soon.
So, Vatutin or Jisaburo.

Or you could get Franco. He's not great but he has one medal in navy and artillery and two in infantry.

I've played all the way to Middle East. And, I'm not seeing the reason for an air or navy general. From Far Eastern on almost every battle is a land one that seems to call for tank & arty generals. |

I went to the end in GOG and to halfo of Korea in Pacific with kind help of Vatutin, now if I'll take 2nd slot I think it could be Kuribayashi. There's no need for plnes nd naval, piece of cake.

Kuribayashi is a badass, but I would recommend a high health arty or tank general as infantry gets worn down fast with each contact, and even a top general on a hvy tank can disappear in one round if the computer has enough arty & air pound it. |
