I am starting to think of Using Rundstedt as my first Axis Heavy tank. Rommel dies too easily, but hits like a nuke and is a medal-makin' machine. Rundstedt is the opposite. He isn't flashy or powerful, but he is eternal.

He not only survives for a long time, but also packs a real punch. Rundstedt can't do the latter. +10 attack without offensive skills.
He is great, but on infantry.
Also, if you plan on using only heavy tanks, then Rommel works fine, however I still prefer Guderian

Guderian is better than Rundstedt Isn't Guderian better on Medium Tank? Yes, but he's still good on a heavy tank. He has a unique niche of being really good against other heavy tanks because of anti-armor and blitzkrieg. Rundstedt is an infantry general and thus, you should prioritize putting your tank generals on tanks before considering putting Rundstedt on one. |

It’s a kind of strange discussion
Obviously, you need both Guderian and Rommel
All other options are kinda tricks that will not take you to the level with 2 above mentioned gents

With Allies if you have kv6, sometimes you don’t need any second general
But due to the fact that Axis heavy tank is not a universal weapon...

True, but his damage kinda pales in comparison to rommel.
IMO, the best tanks are Bock and Rommel on heavy, guderian on medium, rundstedt can replace bock if you don't feel like using him o infantry, since they have similar output
