Hope everyone is doing well, I need to bring up a nickname issue because this is becoming a problem, too many of our members are doing this and it needs to stop.
Proboards -the company that host our forum- prohibits any deceitful act for the purpose of misrepresenting oneself or for the purpose of deceiving others, it is a bannable offense and they don't have much tolerance for it.
Below is the relevant portion of [Terms of Services] that we all had to agree to when we signed up for the forum:
19. PROHIBITED USES: ProBoards imposes certain restrictions on Your use of the Website and the Services. You represent and warrant that you will not: (a) "stalk" or otherwise harass any person, or contact any person who has requested not to be contacted; (b) provide false, misleading or inaccurate information to ProBoards or any other member; (c) impersonate, or otherwise misrepresent affiliation, connection or association with, any person or entity <snip>
I know nicks are fun and we all love to get a new identity and it's ok to do so, go ahead and do it when you feel like it but members cant take it to the point of wanting to play con-artist and on purpose use the nicknames of other members or of moderators or of the Proboards staff and then try to maliciously deceive others. First this is totally uncool and second it will force the staff to take drastic actions against the offenders. So let's not do this.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

I actually never used nicknames, but my name (Napolean I) was nicked by many members, especially zink (I'm not angry with that, but I never liked that name)

John Marston , you can stay with your nick or you can pick a different display name that's no problem. The above message was directed at people potentially wanting to use that feature as a tool of mischief/deception.
