Edit(1):Below is the latest revision (10/10/15) of the star system,the old one was a little too hard to progress in. 
K guys, I need to hear if you like this new system,it basically increase your rank based on how often you post.Nothing drastic just kinda looks neat. Anyways, are the requirements too high? Too low? Number of stars awarded good? Color of stars? Care or don't care, let's hear your thoughts. Edit(2):special groups like the pioneers have their own system,and must be edited manually as a group. Edit(3):For now we only have the pioneers but eventually I want to make more groups most especially to recognize some of the fantastic contributors that have expanded the knowledge base of our gaming community. Edit(4) 10-10-15 Ranks have slightly been revised as follow: -Max number of stars for normal rank is 5, so progression is set as 1-2-2-3-3-4-4-5-5,above that is reserved for staff/admin. -As was done in the past Pioneer group star number matches the highest number that was achieved in the forum and so is now set at 5. -Star color for Darth Vader temporarily switched to orange,1st to reach rank will pick their favorite color. -In the future a few groups will also be recognized with a custom color.This will appear in both the mini-profile and in the info center. Edit(5) pic with the newer star colors updated. |

One small problem, What if I post a lot, but, most of it is shoot posts, you know, one liners, as in, oh, thats cool, and I just generally comment. All of these are fine, maybe shoot posts is too harsh of a word. But, If I do lets say 500 of those. Or, someone could post 50 well thought out guides pictures, what ever, and they would be much lower then the other person, feel me?

Special posters will also be recognized *,this is just a starting template a rough draft. Everyone contributions is VERY much appreciated.
I know what it takes to post even 1 single informative well though out and researched post,specially with added gfx and charts and other material.It often takes me 20 min + to research and post a single guide.
So if any poster has any issues please send me me a pm and I will try to fix it. Short liners are acceptable as long as they add something to conversation.Obvious abusers can be warned or their post counts manually reduced.
My plan is to try to make this fun,fair and attainable.
*I also still havent figured out how to recognize anounymous posters like well..anonymous who has contributed and been with us since the start of our forum!

while I don't care that much, the posts needed do look a bit high to me but I think that's because of the small number of ranks and small forum we have at the moment

Well best75 forum only been around a short time and we already have peeps with close to 140 posts.Some of our members post almost everyday. (thanks guys,visit as often as you like  ) But I am glad you and Monty mentioned this because I forgot to add that all guides,campaign walkthroughs and special discovery (work in progress) posts will be worth a much larger amount of regular posts. So then members who dont have huge number of normal posts but have worked hard to help the community with guides and such will quickly have a high count too. How does this sound? |

Ok i redid the ranking to make it easier to climb the ladder at 1st so all ranks up to Captain are not very difficult (specially if member get bonus bump for making a guide ect..)
How does it look now?

Best75 yes but I add them manually so if I forget just send me a pm or write in chat.
I am thinking guides and such will be worth 10 on the post count,a couple guys got the credit already but several posters still havent gotten their bonus.
Thatamericanguy,not sure what to do with special groups like pioneers just yet,I havent been able to make it as a progression so far.

Has the star system been changed?. I am colonel but only has 235 posts at the moment when 250 posts are needed.

Yes,it was changed because I didnt realize there was a large gap between the rank of major and colonel.
Also the system was originally designed to have most ranks "coupled" to stay at the same number stars but change color of stars every 2 ranks,and that wasn't the case in the old system.The special groups also didnt work as intended.
One more thing is the badge system will now replace the guide/special posts reward system,because it was really tedious to keep track of it all.So now a few badges will be given now and then.
Anyways this should be more in line with the original plan colonel!

The official story is the entire officer corp got caught up in the front and an emergency promotion on the field had to be temporarily made! Aha bud I just made a mistake in the template it should have have read general tag=350 posts and I wrote it as =35 posts instead. Thanks for the heads up,stuff like this happens a lot when I update the forums. One thing for sure is you will make a fine general one day ! |

Well I like the new badge system, bit off-the-topic but does somebody know about the previous generation of pioneers? This generation has been NEARLY extinct  (hadn' t kanue and cccp been around it would've been dead) So the question is...does anybody know where in the world are thatamericanguy, monty and epicninja?? |
