Which is the most reliable infantry unit?
I would say commando for generals, but for normal units, it has to be Motorized infantry. I will happily substitute a little damage for more movement. With Motorized infantry, you can reinforce far fighting units easily and can cover large areas, irrespective of terrain.
*Gets reminded of Japan 1939 conquest where Yamashita and 5 motorized infantry conquer whole Russia.*

Motorized Infantry. They have similar health and ATK points as commando, but motorized infantry is more mobile and is a city-cracker. Putting your infantry general on a commando for anti-infantry perk? You have Guderian/Patton/Rommel on a super tank or Govorov/Konev/Bai on an artillery. How about for anti-tank? Good luck killing Guderian before your infantry general dies or gets crippled for the rest of the game.
Also, many alien conquerors prefers PMI over PC with 9-radius. They can crack those recently conquered cities in 1975 left open by the aliens.

Oof. I regret and revert my statement BTW, why do you have such affinity for infantry Gerd von Rundstedt?

Oof. I regret and revert my statement BTW, why do you have such affinity for infantry Gerd von Rundstedt ? I just think that they have a very... hard life. I play ET games and I think of the people in an actual hell war, so I feel the infantry soldiers are the most personal of them all. "It Doesn't Take A Hero" Probably Added to that.

It us foolish to mourn the deaths of martyrs, we should rather thank the God that such men lived.

"You should look your men in the eyes, and say: 'Die for me' " -Lexa, the 100 I would rather say "whoever loves his country come along me to attack the enemy, I will go there with or without you". Same thing did by many including Kerensky.
