I just think that they have a very... hard life. I play ET games and I think of the people in an actual hell war, so I feel the infantry soldiers are the most personal of them all. "It Doesn't Take A Hero" Probably Added to that. Wait... I do get the same feeling - whenever a unit dies, I feel a thousand families are depreived. You guys are making me feel bad about sacrificing dozens of MIs just to kill Bagramyan.

And in India/Saudi Arabia 1975, there is no other way than to spam MIs against aliens to support your lone field artillery. You must kill unless you wanted to get dominated and rekt.

Which is the most reliable infantry unit? I would say commando for generals, but for normal units, it has to be Motorized infantry. I will happily substitute a little damage for more movement. With Motorized infantry, you can reinforce far fighting units easily and can cover large areas, irrespective of terrain. *Gets reminded of Japan 1939 conquest where Yamashita and 5 motorized infantry conquer whole Russia.* PMI does less damage. All the recommended output based generals have explosives. If my infantry unit can't beat a tank, then it is just cannon fodder to me. I honestly beat France 1939 with Guderian and Commando Spam.

But you have to spam MI for long distances, like to Japan

The difference in damage against tanks between MI and commando is at most 7.
