But this thing excites me. Space is the future of humanity It exites me too, and I think we shold do more, but humanity has only a future on earth. Everything else won't work for thousands of millions humans, just for physical reasons. The Apollo programm ended almost 50! years ago. A shame! They'll make it up by going to Mars the next decade. I would love to visit Mars at least once in my lifetime. That is a bold step by NASA and just as their moon landing outweighs all their other achievements, landing on Mars would outweigh their other achievements too.

It is a big help that we have Musk. He is the only one with money, who kickstarts new developments. I hope you ment: this decade 2021-2030. Facts: The first 10000 tickets to the moon are all sold. But Pan-Am doesen't exist anymore

Moon landings were quite frequent at this time. I want to see (not personal) the surface of Venus - Maybe she is full of cities and they just have a horribile Air-Pollution. Mars is for Archeologists.

Today, people are just paranoid that the ''end of the world'' will come, so they've been saying ''we need to get off Earth fast''.
In reality, Earth still has a few billion years left of it's life, and by then, humanity will either be extinct or have already colonized our entire solar system.

Heck, if the end of the world will come anytime soon, in the religious sense, no place is safe.

In reality, Earth still has a few billion years left of it's life, and by then, humanity will either be extinct or have already colonized our entire solar system. There's a reason for that. We can't place all the eggs in one basket, because if it falls, all eggs break. We need to become at least a 2 planet species quickly, just in case something happens to Earth

And probably they didn't found cities But we possibly can find that "Sweet spot" to live on the atmosphere of the Venus in flying airships. And why is Mars for the archeologists?

I thought about cities under a glass cover in a deadly dry dessert. My knowledge is historic, I thought you talk about the newer missions. The Venera programm of the CCCP is already 40 or more years old. Do we have a complete surface-map of Venus today? Anyway, in our solar System you will find little places to escape to. Do you want to travel 40 or 200 years to find another spot to live? ... and for the future of humanity ... there is No Alternative to earth. I really don't like the "There is No Alternative" saying. Usually if I listen this, there thousands of alternatives. In this case it fits: we didn't find 1 alternative untill now, and we look already very far.If you find a better place, tell me - I go now to the beach. π

Also considering the fact that we have found some substance (don't remember it's name) which can only be emitted by organic beings. There are few places to live in the Solar system, like on Mars and Moon, atmosphere of Venus, Europa. There are plenty of alternatives, but there is only 1 Earth And a quote from Interstellar - "The Earth is a treasure. But it has been telling us to leave for a while now. And that "Moment" isn't very far I see. A better place to live would be another Earth? And as a matter of fact, I've never ever went to a Beach
