Indonesia, axis: Infantry:Yamashita(If you have him then save for the tank gens) Tanks:Rommel(If you have it get Graziani, Messe is also useful) Artillery:Leeb(If you have him save for the tank gens) allies: Infantry:MacArthur(If you have him get Bradley/Slim) Tanks:Patton is necessary for later campaigns Artillery:Chuikov should be OK. If not get Govorov

Good on medium tank but Monty, Roko, even Vatutin all outperform him on heavy and, and are still good enough for the times you don't have a heavy tank available. The only thing he's really got going for him is blitzkrieg and even that's partially compensated by machinist. Plus he's expensive. Roko and Monty should be higher priority.

If not get Govorov Axis Tank Gen aside from Rommel and Guderian are not good at all,Graziani is just a scam, rumor are useless, blitzkrieg silver and Urban fighting is just too weak and too little,Hoth is only slightly on par with Graziani due to stats and that's debatable. If you want to use a third Axis tank gen, just use Bock,he's free and his perks just outweigh his rather weak stat.for Axis just buy Badoglio,Rundstedt if you already have Rommel and Leeb or save up to buy Donitz and Yamamoto/Kesselring for 45 pacific

I don't know if this have to related to my playstyle but my Patton actually dealing rather okay-ish damage to me(around 60-70) and have great survivability compare to my Vatutin dealing good damage(70-80) but he got damaged so fast that i just rather prefer Patton than Vatutin on Med,Patton on heavies is obviously not good so we shouldn't even compare him to Monty and Roko on Heavies

Allied side, get MacArthur. Axis, Leeb, because you have no arty, then Rundstedt or Yamashita (eventually you'll want both). Those should be your first priority. You also need Rommel. Alexander can be a kind of OK second arty after Chuikov, who is actually quite good, but Govorov will be a huge upgrade.

Wouldn't buy Runstedt -I have MacArthur and Yamashita - infantry badge on either and they will wreak havoc. Had MacArthur attack four times once

Had MacArthur attack four times once If this was in campaign, i wouldn't have judge you for not buying Rundstedt, but in level 9-11 Challenge or Elite(especially late one like Berlin) lack of Rundstedt is really gonna hurt as Survivability is simply more important than damage,Yamashita is only really good for being a Ship-Artillery-Medium tank killer when use with AT,Anti-ship or anti-artillery SF,Rundstedt and Macarthur just do everything that yama can but simply more tankier and have more damage potential

I tried both of them in conquest(I bought Yamashita because of his better price and speed and you can control Rundstedt) and concluded that Yamashita deals over 100 damage with ease(without badge) but he gets weakened quickly as he doesn't have Rundstedt's plunder which helps a lot in survivability, because in fact infantry leader is BETTER than Guerilla because repeated attacks is better than cutting out enemy counterattacks unless given that the enemy is more powerful. However, it is also considerable that Yamashita is slightly cheaper than Rundstedt, meaning that he would be an alternative in early-middle game like 1942 when you need to spend every medal with care

Since you should get both anyway, price is an entirely valid reason to get Yamashita first. Plus he's a bit easier to use, faster and still hits plenty hard.
