Ok, ok. So, hear me out. I have just downloaded the game but I have oalyed before, in fact reaching WTO and NATO missions with Weichs, I believe, but this was before I knew of the Easytech forum. Therefore I am here again to try again. But I don't know if just doing the missions will get me Badoglio. And IF I get Badoglio, then HOW do I get Guderian or other good gens? I mean I know about the 'getting 1000 medals after WTO and NATO mission 6' but...Is that enough? Can somebody help me with the precious info? Many Thanks.

Completing ten missions with the exception of 2* North African and Fall Gelb should get you to 1210 medals. Weichs was a good choice, but Badoglio is better for his higher level skills, and lvl 4 explosives. He also has a lot of health. Play with Badoglio, then sell him for Govorov. Start saving up for Guderian after that. If you are stuck on the Cold War missions, get Ozawa. He'll put more punch in your missiles. The only missions that truly gave me a challenge was Sea Road and Time Of Glory. The hardest mission for WTO is Red Storm I, which is impossible to get a 3* without Guderian to hold Berlin for you. Everything else was easy, if you know what you are doing. You can buy Crerar or Auchinleck if you like, as well. They have the best output for their price (if you know how to use them). If you don't look for plains or other terrain bonuses, then Crerar and Auchinleck are not worth the money. Come to me, Erich von Manstein, or Luigi Sansonetti if you need help. I have experience from the many mistakes I made with my medals, also, just experience...Erich is the moderator for this board, and is a genius when it comes to conquest, while marshal is the one you come to for fighting aliens.

I don't think that it would be helpful to sell Badoglio to get Govorov. The way I got Guderian is by hiring both Badoglio and Govorov. I don't even consider ever selling him even if I got Konev. I still used Badoglio even in the hardest Alien Campaigns. As for NATO 4 Sea Road, Erwin Rommel '44 , STILETT0 , there is a certain round you avoid getting your marshals nuked at round 3. If you stay away from Ankara's missile range (probably 12-16), Tehran will get nuked instead of Guderian on a super tank. As for a cheap decent tank general which will help you throughout the game, you can consider hiring Vatutin for 1630 medals. He's almost as good and much cheaper to hire as Rommel in the late game when you promote him to L General. Also, there is a feature now in WC3 where you can watch a total of five ads per day to get 30 medals and some valuable resources for upgrading your tech and building wonders. As for getting Great Pyramids, I recommend playing Japan 1939. As for getting City of Cuzco, Soviet 1939. If you can capture and hold Sapporo with Voroshilov and Shaposhnikov with the aid of Isakov, much better. Also, Erwin Rommel '44 , consider following this guide.
Addendum: STILETT0, I think Red Storm 1 is possible to finish with 3 stars just with Badoglio and Govorov. Enio Tanaka (a WC3 F2P youtuber, now inactive) finished it using Badoglio and Goring.

Will you need to upgrade tge free gens? The ones who have their eyes covered? Refer to the late and endgame parts of the aforementioned guide. You need to do this because none of the F2P artillery generals have 3 or more mobility stars, 5 artillery stars, plain fighting, and explosives. All of those abilities are possessed by Manstein, but he is a general who needs real money to be hired.

I haven't been able to 3* silver Red Storm I with just Bado. As for Sea Road, My gens usually don't get nuked on round 3. Ankara just nukes for Tehran. However, the nukes start raining down once I cap Riyadh. I have to constantly put infantry in Riyadh because it gets nuked every 3 rounds. I actually easily won it with Badoglio and Govorov. Govorov was just cannon fodder. The only problem on the ground was Timoshenko and Koniev rushing me once I cap Baghdad. My nukes are used to either empty Baghdad's health, and Timoshenko comes charging south, or to beat Timoshenko, and Koniev can easily defend Baghdad. I think my situation was a bit worse. I don't like Vatutin irl, but yes he is a good tank general, just slow. Crerar is still good for early game, and much cheaper. But your points are correct Luigi Sansonetti.

I think I should have posted all these threads on the Warptah... everyone makes mistakes. It is up to the mods to move it, and this would probably be best in here or in the Planning Room.
