Hello Everyone!! Wow! Looks like it is TurnBasedStrategy overload here. I am.inLove with this game. Used to olay "R-Type Command" on PSP and then on PC and finally got to know about this game "WC3". Please guide me if I am wrong. But till now this is what I understand (seem to understand) roughly that.... In the main menu of the game, I see 3 options but the HQ lv1 option keeps blinking. 1. Military Career (campaign, mission, wonders): I guess this is where the Generals are: a.) trained (in Missions...completing the Yellow, Purple and Red missions). b.) Skills of Generals (both: free and earned thru Medals) are Tested in Campaign mode. c.) The WondersOfTheWorld which are collected in Mission Modes (purple ones) are used here to construct powers which are to be used in-game. 2. HQ (lvl 1): please tell me which FREE CMDR. to take 1st ?? And which General to take (by spending my existing 500 medals)? 3. The CONQUER WORLD mode: I do not understand this. Sorry guys. ........Is this the Main Aim of WC3? i.e. to play ConquerWorld mode by training your generals (both: free and paid) in Military Career+HQ.. Or is this just an optional part??. Awating replies and please dont be harsh. Sorry for any silly Queries if asked by me here. Cheers n e-peace, AndyS

I chose Clark because isn't the best at anything but he's a good enough general purpose comander (imo)

Hi, 1 i dont get your question 2 this doesnt matter, theyre all the same. Try to save up for badoglio at the start, he is in turin. Also read Erich von Manstein general selection thread for info Hello and Thank you for the quick reply. Appreciate it. Well, the point no.1 was not exactly a question. I want to know a few basic differences. 1.) What is the Campaign all about? (I mean What is Its primary objective)? Is it to train your Generals? 2.) What are the Missions all about? Is it to earn Wonders, skills, technology and energy? (Any other then please clarify). 3.) Do I have to use both (1)&(2) above to finally Play the ConquerWorld Mode? Or is that a different thing altogether? (I mean like an open world game which is irrespective of Campaign & Mission modes)? 4.) How do many of you guys here talk about those high rank Generals who cost so huge number of Medals to buy eg.Bogdolio etc. Have you guys earned those medals or bought it from the InGame Store? (for $19.99 and $49.99 respectively). Because, by just Completing the Campaigns and Missions, i dont think it is possible to earn so many medals and then buy all those top 5 or 10 Generals. 5.) After a certail Level (lv-14) it becomes tough to win those Missions (dont remember clearly whether it was the Yellow,Red Or Purple/Blue missions), but why is that? I had 2 Generals: Papagos and another was Smigly and by combining both i only used to get 24-38% success of winning the missions. 6.) Free Commanders Upgrade & Sell -vs- Purchased Commanders Upgrade/Promote dilemma: To progress in Campaigns and Missions, Is it better to upgrade those FREE GENERALS (aka.England/Soviet/Japan Commanders that are obtained for free at HQ lvl-1,5&12) and then sell them for Medals to buy better Generals? -OR- Is it better to upgrade/promote the Generals that we initially buy using medals eg.Papagos or Smigly etc. 7.) What is the difference between Axis -vs- Allies? Are they just for namesake or do they really provide/assist in something? A simple explaination would be great. Thanks for tolerating my inExperience in this game. But, one last question... 8.) Is there any other game(s) similar to WorldConqueror3? I guess EuropeanWar4 is on the same lines bu the only difference being that it is pre-industry era..i.e. Napolean era (with horses and other basic infantry). Cheers n e-peace...

Not for training generals, just self skills training and leveling up, and with the medal award after finishing those campaigns you are able to buy stronger generals to help you on late games. 2. Although you do not have to fight by yourself, awards earned makes doing missions also important. I only do red missions. 3. After receiving the answers from 1 and 2 you should find this a silly question. 4. Some of us will use real money for the game, and it is nearly impossible to have all greatest generals on slots, for me who didn't spend any, I get some recommended generals and the rest with cheaper alternatives. With skills, you need not all strongest ones. (One more thing, Badoglio is too easy to get, I see no point buying medals for him.) 5. The percentage for chance to accomplish are based to the generals ability requirements of the mission, are shown on each missions. 6. I am unable to answer this one. By the way, you have chosen 2 starter generals wrongly, and you SHOULD restart the game, recommending generals can be found on other threads Amatsukaze end transmission =w=

Use medals wisely!

Actually I have finished all Conquer mode years OwO Now I am here introducing the starter general for you, for me I actually recommend Crerar before having Badoglio(San Fransisco, needs a little HQ level up to show him) But those experienced players may won't agree with me so WAIT for others reply before choosing my preference. for me if you know how to use him, Crerar is an insane starter General that can do 3 in 1-Infantry tank and artillery with a very low cost(550 medals) and useful at anytime that even I am still using him before aliens. Badoglio is the next one. (okay guys now come and disagree with me QAQ)

You dont train generals when playing campaigns, those are levels you can complete for fun. You win the campaign when you own or destroy all targets with a red line beneath it. This line turns blue when you or your ally posses them. Some levels also have a target that has a gold line beneath it. Those are bonus target and you get a bonus when you posses them. 2. Yes, you can assign generals to it and when you succeed with it, you get the resources. 3. Conquest isnt related to campaigns and missions. You unlock new cobquests when the clock right above is in the specific tim 4. Yes, its possible, just try it. When completing conquest 1939 under 65 turns, youre able to build a medal wonder that gives you medals over time 5. Yes, mission difficulty will increase 6. Its better to buy them in accedemies since thats way cheaper, the best way to start is: Badoglio-ozawa-guderian 7. When you chose axis, all other axis countries will be your ally, when you choose allies, all other allies countries will be your ally 8. Any other easytech game. European wars, Glory of Generals and World conqueror series Also sandbox:strategy and tactics is a bit similair Furthermore i would suggest Age of Civilizations.

I see you added a few more questions, so I will try answer it. 6. Don't upgrade free generals if you are not spending real money for the game, for example, the cost for building a free general with exactly same skills as Guderian(Berlin, 3350 medals) are even much higher than Guderian itself, so just buy the RIGHT Generals that are provided. And don't think you are earning medals when dismissing Generals, you only got 80 percent of the medals you invested to the General, and in addition I don't think upgrading Generals worth it if you are not paying for the game. For your case please RESTART as the General you got are totally wrong, avoid the need for upgrading by choosing the right Generals at the starting point, and do NO silly move. 7. Please refer to the real history on World War 2 and the Cold War for the reason of the separating of 2 camps.
