Ok thanks to Monty data collection we now have a pretty good overview of world conqueror 3 generals. You can take a look at The planning room for the generals stats. So then let's talk about who you think the best generals are,how you go about picking them,do you save all your medals and just buy the best,or you just buy the weaker one than get rid of them and upgrade? How do you think the best medal generals stack against the store bought ones, and agaisnt each other. What military branch you want your general to be strong at,artillery?infantry or prefer tanks? What skill do you want your general to have ect..ect.. And anything else about WC3 generals that you want to share! Right,so who wants to start this?

When I started I try to get cheap generals with 3 star in either in infantry, tank, artillery. I got auchinleck, wingate, chung. After that I try to save medals and try to get a general with 5 stars in something. I got Vatutin, Govorov. Now I try to get a 5 star infantry general

Ok,then you are shooting for 6 slots open? or did you have to get rids of the old generals and replace them?
I didnt see if/what price easytech charges to unlock extra slots like in EW4.
Also dismissing obsolete generals get you back some medals but how many in percentage compared to the initial investment?

No price for extra general slot, just need to reach the needed level. You can have up to 12 general at hq at Lv 60.

Wait , you have have up to 18 but 3 of those spots are reserve for the 3 generals brought with real money and the other 3 are for the commanders you get that hide their eyes. You get 12 slots for generals brought using medals.

I like meyer,Ozawa(navy/air) and weichs are a good start. Decent abilities and cheap. meyer 300, weighs 900. Then, vatutin gorovov, Leeb Bock. Badgolio, Nagano(Navy/air) These are all about 2000 medals

Badoglio and Ozawa are enough for beginning, no need for anyone else. Then you need to save medals for Guderian, the best tank general for this game. After that, maybe Govorov(high output), Goring(infantry air marshal), Patton(support Guderian for holding his health, also crack the city), Bai(runs fast), Vatutin(also high output). I think it is a good idea to make an artillery commander with artillery barrage, explosive, plain battle, ace force and supply.
If you bought Manstein, then change Patton to Rommel, no need for Badoglio. If Eisenhower, then no need for Goring and Ozawa. If Zhukov, then no need for Badoglio.
No need for anyone else except Badoglio and Ozawa, the most important thing is to get Guderian as fast as you can.

Manstein is number 1 although that's arguable because as Eternal Aurora has said, the fifth movement star on tanks is useless. So Guderian is as speedy as him, and has good skills like Manstein. They are really close copies.

Alright, I am also listing the top 4 in my opinion.
Tank: 1. Guderian 2. Patton 3. Rommel (if you have Manstein, then exchange the rank of Patton and Rommel) 4. Vatutin
Artillery: 1. Govorov 2. Bai 3. Konev 4. Badoglio
Infantry: 1. Yamashita 2. Vasilevsky 3. Mannerheim 4. Konev
Navy: 1. Donitz 2. Nimitz 3. Yamamoto 4. Nagano
Air: 1. Goring 2. Yamamoto 3. Arnold 4. Dowding
I am not posting Manstein, Zhukov and Eisenhower. If do, Manstein will be No. 2 tank & No.1 artillery. Zhukov will be No.4(because of Manstein, or he can be No.3) artillery, Eisenhower can be No.1 air and No. 4 Navy.

DO NOT ignore Konev on infantry! He can be a Yamashita on motorized infantry. If you are facing alien, kick Yamashita and Donitz out of the list, Zhukov will be the new No. 3 infantry, Eisenhower will be the new No.1 navy, Nimitz No.2, Nagano No. 3, Yamamoto No. 4.

But Manstein has explosives which are great when taking cities.
