Actually I got Yama after Pacific scenario, but not 3 stars To complete with 3 stars, I got him In other words, inf gen is not a high priority in this game If your line of tank and arty gens is good , and tech level is sufficient- game is doable But of course great inf gen is a big support It is the highest priority. You have infantry in every level, while you do not have Tanks and Artillery, sometimes when you need them most. In addition, infantry are the most versatile.

Killing multiple stacks of infantry in 1 turn is one of my favourite entertainments Additional pleasure is when inf stack packed with a great general 😈

My plan from here out (feel free to shout me down)
7. Donitz: Best navy gen in game. No sweat.
8. Govorov: Best non-Iap allied Arty. Again, No sweat.
9. Patton/Kesselring/Yamamoto- Just not sure...
10. Depends.

I unlocked all allied 45(perfect cleared some of them) and stuck on hawaii. I have some perfect clears left in 44 europe too( star missions in general)

I have rundsted instead of yamashita tho but thats not a big difference.

For Runstedt I have analogy from GCR - Vercingetorix Most powerful inf gen , but almost useless - he was always late to come on battlefield when needed To me, Rundstedt's lesser mobility doesn't matter. If it did matter to me, there are plenty of special forces that can help him keep up.

1- Guderian: Best Axis Tanker and Best starting gen. Broken on a Panther. 2- Macarthur: Best F2P inf in the game, maybe best f2p gen period. OP on a Cossack or a Ranger. 3- Yamashita: Saved me multiple times in the pacific. Great on a Wiking. 4- Leeb: Utterly Broken on Elefant, saved me in Case Blue and several N. African missions. 5- Rokossovsky: Very, VERY good on the KV-6. A lifesaver in Operations Vulcan. 6- Rommel- Haven't really used him yet, but I just KNOW he'll be clutch. I disagree with points 1 and 2. Guderian is very good and arguably the best F2P gen but he's not starting gen material imo, the best starting gen imo would have to go to Badoglio, Mac's power is highly overrated saying that he's the best inf gen is a exaggeration but best F2P? It's just complete and utter lunacy imo! I don't think Badoglio should be bought first because getting a tank general first is the highest priority for me. I think MacArthur is best infantry general in quality, but in terms of F2Pness, I think it's Slim.
