I have been stuck on this mission forever. I have reached Operation Hailstone as Allies, but still cannot pass the first mission. Why? Well, don't you think it would be a bit hard to capture and hold every building on the island of Oahu with just four units? I think so. I do not want to buy a navy gen, and am trying to get my navy tech to level 3. The only axis general I have is Badoglio and all the free ones up to that point. I am trying to save up for Guderian so I can beat all three Barbarossas, and get the medals I need for Roko or Vatutin. Any suggestions on how to pass this? If it does come down to a navy general, I have around 600 medals.

Buying or not buying a navy gen for the Axis in 42 isn't a question, you neeeeeeeeeed a navy gen for 42, you're a casual gog3 player ? get Doenitz or Nagumo. Try perfect clearing some of 39 and 41 to get on of those 2. |

Why do you think one would need a navy gen for '42 outside of Ozawa? The worst naval campaign was Pearl Harbor. |

If it does come down to a navy general, I have around 600 medals. Anyway, put Badoglio on a Sub, then Model on a Carrier, then Bock on a tank. Put a carrier and a destroyer East, then the rest SW. Land your units on the N Peninsula. Buy all subs and a carrier. Use Badoglio to defend the key port in the East. Put Ozawa on a BB. |

If you plan on ever perfect clearing 1942, you need a navy gen for axis, Id recommend donitz since he's better than nagumo, but i personally have both.
