Nobody asked, but as I found this mission pretty challenging (especially to perfectly clear) I thought it would be good to make a guide about it. Tech level: 5-6-4-5-3 Generals used: Vatutin, Patton, Clark (I really hope you have a better Allied inf gen), Govorov, Chuikov (you can use Monty and Roko or someone else, but 2 heavy tank and 2 artillery generals are a must) Important: capture resource points, protect your troops (especially heavy arty, your main power), spare money for replenishments of HTs and arty Let’s start
1. Attack on Krakow. Defeat the defenders, but DON’T OCCUPY it in first 3-4 rounds. Instead capture the plant. 2. Further offensive in the west. Get a KV-6, build a second stack to it and give it Vatutin (or other HT gen). 3. Get another HT (I gave it Patton) and capture Krakow. Germans will counterattack the next round. That’s why it was important to build Vatutin in a calm situation. Advance towards Breslau spearheaded by Vatutin and Konev. Get heavily damaged units to the rear, they’ll help you later, when replenished. 4. Capture Breslau. If it’s relatively safe, build 2 heavy arties and give them good gens (Govorov-Chuikov is a dream team). “Katushize” the HA without this perfect SF 5. Attack towards Prague and kill Heinrici. Then destroy Brno’s garrison with Katushas. Brno will be a rear base for damaged units. 6. Outrange and defeat Model north of Prague. You’ll be able to capture Leipzig by turn 22. Also Model’s plant will become the main base for your heavy units to replenish. 7. Guderian will counterattack Leipzig after its fall. You’ll need several units to hold him off. Also placing an inf gen in Leipzig is a good idea (it worked for me already with Clark). 8. Occupy Berlin. With 3 HA and 2 HT gens (which you hopefully still have alive), your Soviet comrades in the east and the Americans in the west, it’s very doable. Brilliant victory!
