I can't seem to beat this mission. I have L'Estocq, Weyrother who I regrouped with Latour, and Marmont who I regrouped with an artillery trainer. Most of the time I most of my troops get destroyed by the ships and are way too weak by the time I land, or I start to win but I run out of time. Is there some secret way to beat this mission without princesses or IAP's?

I used Sophia, Dumouriez, either Arnold or Latour and one cheap trainer to clear this. While Sophia is less recommended today and you prefer a guide without a princess, I still argue that aiming for the easiest European princess to woo is still the way. Having her is better than relying solely on cheap gens because of her skills. I do disagree on having Kate or a navy gen. You'll need to concentrate on the ground offensive. On the rest of your team, Weyrother can be substituted with Arnold for his Spy and ability to wage economic warfare (5* trading). Dumouriez is a tier 1 or 2 trainer that is a better substitute for L'Estocq. Otherwise, try this: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/432/invasion-brittainAnd european-war-4.boards.net/thread/192/cross-battle-eylau-invasion-britain
I assume you mean the Imperial France campaign? You need to distract both British fleets using the Franco-Spanish fleet to the west and fort + inf spam at Amsterdam to the east, respectively. This way, your troops can move to land east of both London and Southampon. Make sure to take out the SE coastal fort! Concentrate your arty and one frigate to bombard Wellesley and defend against the British counterattack well. After this, head straight for Dublin.

In general British AI sends it's units South to take the short trip across the Channel. This makes landing their tough. Instead aim to invade UK in the middle and then quickly get the factory at Liverpool. Now spam artillery and seize another facility(town or stable) to make flanking troops. Since Liverpool is right in the middle of the UK, you just need to gradually expand your perimeter on all sides.
I use this UK invasion strategy in most campaigns and conquests.

A few more tips:
* For invasion campaigns the MVG (Most Valuable General) is your economic guy. Whereas in land scenarios you can rely on a team of generals to power through to objectives, a successful invasion requires naval superiority and reinforcements. A 5 star trader is key to managing your economy.
**For naval superiority, I just spam privateers, have them flank then attack. For Admirals, I surround, then attack. Since Ships only fire once, I will sacrifice a single enemy attack rather than attack and unflanked unit and never attack If the counter attack will destroy my Ship. I want to overwhelm the enemy.
*** For spamming, I pay close attention to the cost per unit health. I seldom buy grenadiers because of it. (1 grenadier at 85/20 or 185 gold with a 5* trader vs 2 line infantry at 150/10 or 200 gold, 75 vs 160 hp for 15 gold more)
